***Reflecting On The First 5 Days Of The Project***
* **Day 1: I said my goodbyes to my mother and I set off for an adventure of a lifetime. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous and that my eyes were not filled with tears. I was excited, I was going to be free. Freedom, alas! I've always been a wanderer, and now I'm finally able to wander. I set off, saddle bags stuffed, and my back pack packed. I made it 5 miles, just to come across a flat tire, my first test. It was the back tire too, so I had to take everything off my bike to get to the tire. I found out then and there, I left my tire changing tools. "It's okay, I'll improvise" , I said. And improvised I did, I was able to fix the flat in pretty good time. Get all my stuff packed back on the bike, to find my front tire was also flat. Time to repeat the process. I stopped myself from getting upset because I knew If I did that, everything would start to fall into that negative trend. I kept a smile on my face, and just took it as a test. After, I finished that I was able to cycle about 30 miles. Google maps took me to a special back road... A gravel road that was 5 miles long.. I went on it for about 20 feet before I was awarded with another flat. My third flat for the day. It was okay though, I had 3 more spare tubes, but wait, I didn't have a pump yet and I ran out of co2 canisters. I was going to by a pump when I got down into Oregon. I was stranded unable to ride. I could either shamefully call my mother or walk on the interstate for 15 miles... I called my mother. She came and picked me up and took me to walmart where I was able to buy a pump and even more spare tires. I then cycled to my camp site. What a first day..**
* **Day 2: Day two was a lot better. I cycled from Hermiston, Oregon to Pendleton. It was an easy 36 Mile ride. I rode in to KOA, hoping to get a tent spot, but to my awful luck, they were full. I then had to ride 10 more miles to a casino that had room for me to set up a tent at their rv park. I was able to walk to Mcdonalds and use their WIFI to upload my daily vlogs. I was in a happy place, but I knew I had a very tough day ahead of me the next day when I would be climbing up a mountain pass.**
* **Day 3: Day three I got an early start to the day knowing I was in for the hardest ride of my life. I started the incline, and instantly knew I was in for a tough day. It took me about 3 hours to cycle up to 4200 ft elevation. It was 25 straight miles without a decline. My thighs were on fire, but I made it. Which, made me feel like Superman. After I accomplished that, I felt like whatever was to come my way on this adventure I would concur. Later that day I was approached by an old man on a motorcycle to check to see if I was okay. He was in disbelief that I cycled up that huge mountain pass. I told him about the project, but he didn't even know what Facebook was so Steemit to him wasn't going anywhere. I ended the day in Meacham, Oregon. I ended up eating at a tiny diner. It was an amazing find. I told the ladies working there my project and about the trip, they let me film inside their establishment as you can see in Day 3 Vlog!. I returned to camp, and slept like a log. I awoke to the Park Ranger coming by and asking why I chose a spot with full hookups for RV's. I told her about the project and how I had to have electricity so I can constantly check my Steemit page and upload posts to it. She was so Impressed that she didn't even charge me for my stay. I was expecting to pay $28. She stated, "let's just pretend you weren't even here, enjoy your adventure."**
* **Day 4: My favorite day thus far. I was flying down mountains!! Literally, I almost took flight. That was because I almost hit a pothole going down a decline going 95, I swerved really quick and felt my bike wheel slip just enough to make my boys go way up into my stomach haha. This day I traveled 37 miles in just over 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours. I was flying down this mountain!!! I Stopped into Lagrande, Oregon which was an awesome small town. My brother went to college in the town, but I haven't been back in such a long time, that I didn't remember it at all. I needed up getting one flat in town, but I was in such a good mood that I didn't care at all. I also got the best camp site to date in Hot Lake, Oregon, which was just down the road, about 10 miles.**
* **Day 5: Day 5, was a pretty good day, I cycled roughly 46 miles, it took a little bit about 3 and a half hours. It was pretty hilly at the start. I didn't have that much to look at besides a really nice mountain side and a lot of cows!!! I cycled into Baker City, Oregon. I haven't ate any real food today, just candy and chips. Tomorrow I am looking forward to eating a hot meal!!! I think I'm going to buy the biggest pizza I can lay my eyes upon! Tomorrow, Day 6 will be a rest day, and I will be watching UFC at a hotel. And resting up for a potentially huge Sunday!!**
**I can't even express the joy I am getting from reading each and everyone of your comments. They push me to cycle farther and farther. The support I'm getting is way more than I expected and I honestly think with this continued support this project has no chance of failing. Like I said in previously, I always wondered to wander, because I am a wanderer at heart. I hope to show people the power of Steem, and I hope I can get it into hand of people who really need it. All I need to do for me to feel like this trip is successful is to change someone's life. If I can do that, I will feel accomplishment. If I am able to finish, It'll obviously change my life, but say I fall short, but I am able to get Steem into the hands of somebody who really needs it, I will feel this project was a success. One way or another I am getting to the other side of this country. If my bike splits in half, I don't know what I'll o but I will touch my feet into the Atlantic. Bus, train, plane, or automobile. I will get there, but preferably by bike :)**
