<div class="text-justify"> Before this situation that worries people in the Christmas months where it was thought that everything had already entered into apparent balance, with the detection of a new variant of Covid-19 among experts, the following question arises: how concerned should we be and how does this change the strategy against the pandemic in these months of family sharing at Christmas time?.</div>

<div class="text-justify">The major concern for the World Health Organization is that this new variant, labeled "Omicron", is much more worrisome than previous variants because it is so different from the original version first identified in Wuhan that it may be more contagious, lethal or circumvent the effect of vaccines and treatments.</div>
