**Change is sometimes very necessary to the growth of a company and unless your team knows how to deal with change in a positive way, it can be very painful for many to adjust to the many changes implemented.**

Over the last ten years, I've had a front-row seat as a manager for a company that grew in that time period from $150,000 a month in sales to $3,000,000 per month in sales and change was a constant factor that led to that growth. 

I have been listening to a lot of people on Steemit talk about changes that are, or should be, implemented and have heard many opinions both for and against many of the changes discussed. Much of the dialog is very positive and constructive and much of it, unfortunately, is not.

Everyone adapts to change differently and when you're building a team it's vital that the team is working together and on the same page. 

Negativity as a response to change can cripple an organization if it spreads throughout the organization and in my experience, it's best to cut the infection out before it spreads. I've fired some of my top sales people because they were bringing my team down, but we can't do that on Steemit.

Steemit is an altogether different experiment and changes will need to be made to fine tune it as it evolves, but when people react negatively to these changes and make negative posts about it, they unknowingly spread fear and doubt across the internet in indelible ink for all time. You may as well shoot yourself in the foot.

I don't think people realize that voicing frustrations about a platform so new we haven't even discovered what it is yet, or what it will become, is like shooting yourself in the foot before we even have learned to walk and is branding Steemit negatively. Why would you do that? There's a right way to deal with change and a wrong way to deal with change and I implore you all to learn to deal with changes positively. 

One tool many organizations, including my own, have used is a great little book called, ["Who Moved My Cheese?"](http://steem.link/cheese) by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Blanchard that you would probably enjoy reading. 

["Who Moved My Cheese?"](http://steem.link/cheese), is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. It's an amusing and enlightening story of four mice who live in a "Cave" and look for "Cheese" to make them happy.

*"Cheese" is a metaphor for what you want in life*. A good job, money, a loving relationship, peace of mind and purpose. 

*The "Cave" is a metaphor for where you look for what you want*, your work or organization, your community, your home.

In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change. Eventually, one of them deals with the changes successfully and writes what he has learned from his experiences on the Maze walls.

When you come to see, "*The Handwriting On The Wall*", you can discover for yourself how to deal with change so you can enjoy less stress and more success (however you define it) in your work and in your life.

Written for all ages, the story takes less than an hour to read, but its unique insights can last a lifetime.

I made everyone in our organization read it and made a world of difference to how positively people were able to adapt to change.

If you're having difficulty dealing with the changes in your life or the changes on Steemit, I highly recommend you read this easy to read book before posting something negative about Steemit because you're frustrated.

This little story has made a profound difference in my life and it will help you deal with changes in a positive, successful way.
