My Handmade Embroidery

Hello everyone, my mom sent all your love and a warm welcome to me, thank you for all the kind words.
I also read the comments on the introduction post and I am encouraged by your encouraging words.

One day I will write an appreciation post for my favorite teacher, the one who introduced me to this platform, I will mention her here for all of you to know her.

For now, I have been away because I had exams to write, but it is the weekend so I spared a few minutes of my reading time to share with you all a project I did in school as a part of our continuous assessment.

It is a cultural and creative Art subject, where you have all the opportunities to explore and showcase your creativity. This is one of my favorite subjects too.

The subject teacher gave us the assignment to draw anything of our choice on a piece of fabric and knit on it. (An embroidery)

I decided to draw an ostrich, I wasn't able to take pictures of it when I started drawing, but halfway, my mom reminded me that I need to take pictures of my craft.

So here are pictures of what my embroidery looks like.

After drawing, you will have to thread your needle and secure your stitch by knotting at the back of your fabrics.

Then you'll start knitting gently tracing the drawing on your fabrics.
For my stitch, I used baby wool and I used a brown color. I used a handkerchief as my fabric as I don't have any spare fabrics on hand.

It took me three days to finish this because I have other things to do at home.

I am glad because after I submitted it, my teacher gave me 19/20, which means he was impressed with my work and I was glad because all the effort I put into this work wasn't in vain.
Mine was among his favorites and he even wanted to take it to his workshop to sample it, I begged him not to because I love it as well, and then he gave it back to me.
