Quarantine or not, life goes on. Life can not be put on hold. Times does not come back. Thus all you have left is to move on. Count your blessings, focus on the bright side and dream on!

Being at home, regardless if you are still working or not, should not be felt as a negative experience. Yes, you may feel deprived of your freedom to move freely outdoors, enjoy a nice sunny day in the park, cycling or playing in the grass with your children. Or that you can`t hang out as before in your favourite cafe or restaurant. 

But how important are those things for you? Do they really matter that much? You don`t have to be an introvert or a bookworm to enjoy your time at home!

Most of those who feel uncomfortable in their own house either experience some issues in their relationship, live in a toxic environment, have problems with their dwelling, are unable to work remotely with interruptions from home or simply aren`t used to be alone.

The later are terrified of spending some alone time because they are used to be entertained in one way or another. Facing the wall of silence is not always seen as a opportunity for introspection and meditation, but as a dreadful boring experience.

They need to interact on a daily basis with others, to feel socially fulfilled because they can`t differentiate between a "need" and a "necessity". Most of them look for acknowledgement or validation of their worth. Relying on others prevents them to reach their true self and become aware of their emotional security.

We live in the age of the Internet where communicating with others is no longer a problem. We have so many means of communication at our disposal, so why people stress over social isolation so much? Just because they can not have friends over or hang out in the city, it`s not the end of the world!

It`s easy to overlook the things you take for granted when you live in a developed country. Think of how many of the activities you perform daily are possible just because you reside in your country. Would you be able to have the same quality of life if you were living in India, Senegal or any other poor country where resources are scarce? 

Can you picture yourself living without Internet, indoor pluming, heat in your house, hot water or even without food? Poverty has many faces and none of them is pretty. According to the World Bank, nearly half the world lives in less than $5.50 a day. Can you see yourself living on that budget?

If your answer is no to any of the questions above, this quarantine should not be a problem for you! Think of it as a minor discomfort that will allow you to regain your privileges once the crisis will be done.
