 <i> I can’t quite recall if August has always been colder. Last August, covid was somehow still looming and there were a lot of restrictions. It was a bleak month that I spent watching movies, reviewing starbucks, and making daily food blog posts. I found way more fun in mundane things since I couldn’t travel far at the time. Only starting the following month, I traveled full time and have only been stopping this month. With the new year being only a few more months, I want to make a little reflection of what I did this year.  Thus far, everything I wished for last year came true. I made more connections, I was out and about for months. I became more comfortable with myself and who I am, at the same time learning more skills that improved my content & self. Working out is no longer just a challenge, I stick to it and achieve results.  Although behind it all, one of the events that impacted me the most is when I lost my best friend this year. I somehow feel pathetic if I were to live the life I used to have. She always motivated me to live a better life, to have a better life, and choose life more than the other. And to honor her memory, that is also partly a reason why I started taking everything more seriously in my life. This year, I was able to take my mom to visit more places and we started thinking about opening more stores. They keep asking me if I want to settle down somewhere and be an adult. Well, settling down is out of the question for now but being an adult, I definitely am trying to be one.  These months, the thought of just going to be a nomad is back. Ever since I was back in Bali, I realized how fun it was to be surrounded by people with the same mindset. People that just get it. It was much easier making friends and for once in my life I feel understood. I suddenly don’t feel alone knowing that there are dozens of people just like me, somewhere. Although at the same time, I can’t quite imagine living in Bali to be sustainable for the long term. My inner introverted side needed somewhere quieter where I can essentially hide and live a hermit life.  This year, I thought I would go hermit once it reaches the fall. Yet I found myself to be making more plans, to get to be somewhere, to be somewhere, to see friends I’ve always wished to see. Not to mention, while the opportunity is still there, why not make the best of it? Where I live now is getting colder with more frequent rain. I don’t do well in a bleak environment. I find myself sleeping longer and entering hibernating mode where I am really slowing down. I like the cold, I just don’t like the rain. In a few weeks, I will be back on the move again and this time, I’d be a little braver and just let my feet take me wherever it wishes. I simply just don’t want to spend the month like how I did last year. I wanted it to be different. Mentally, I’ve been in one of my steadiest states of all these years. I became more comfortable with challenges, with pain, and many other dreadful things in life. I had seen enough and learned how to navigate myself through various adversities and disadvantages. I guess this is a part of me trying to be an adult. I’ve enjoyed watching you go through life mac even if it’s through a screen. You’ve come a long way and developed and changed like we all have and I think that’s good. It’s not always easy but it’s important that we are able to change. See things differently, appreciate different things. Be social, refrain from social activity. These are all important things for us to go through but I’m not sure many people are able to go through these and stay sane. It’s certainly in the eyes of the beholder but I think you’re doing well. Try to keep that social and antisocial balance!

Even here in our country there was frequent rains and temperature became colder too. I like it in a way, I felt comfortable. Thus like you I don't like rain. It was hard for a simple working employee like me to commute going to work😨. Im sorry for your lost, I know how it feels as I lost mine too but somehow the pain was still here.
