Here's what you should be hoarding...

In another part of the world, people are hoarding toilet paper. To my mind, this is silly. For someone who is used to have bidet and hose in the toilet, toilet paper is the least of our concerns. In fact, the first of our concern may be the availability of rice. I think it's safe to say that rice here is as important as the toilet paper. So, I am expecting scarcity of rice and then I have to be very creative making breads and eating pasta. It's interesting how in times of pandemic, we can see what people actually value. Also, most people are not 'preppers'.  They don't have instinct of preparation in case things go awry.

However for some of us, like me. Prepping is a normal thing. I live in a country with frequent natural disaster. And even then, people are still not use to the idea of prepping. 

Look, toilet paper can be replaceable with used phone book or newspaper. Even better if you start washing your bum with water. 

Here's some of the things that you should prep instead toilet paper.

[x] Canned food
[x] Multivitamins 
[x] Flour
[x] Grains
[x] Bottled Water
[x] Powdered Milk
[x]Tea
[x] Coffee
[x] Sugar
[x] Condiments
[x] Canned fruits 
[x] Unripe fresh fruits so it has more shelves term. 
[x] Nuts
There's so much more list but for this specific lockdown, all you gotta do is keep yourself healthy and well-fed. After you get all the ingredients learn about preservation methods. Make juices, dried them, bake them, make cookies out of them, protein bars, 

stay safe !

Buying toilet paper is such a waste when there is water to clean yourself. I believe that at some point there will be a shortage of fresh fruits and vegetables and we should be prepared for that. I juiced around 20 kilos of oranges and lemons yesterday and put them at deep freeze. i will try to find more tommorow.

That's really a good move! I have some unripe fresh oranges. Hoping they will last for 2 weeks. I haven't paid a visit to local store again but when I do, I'll focus buying condiments for soups and pasta. Rice as well, since I can't live without eating rice :D  Good luck with finding more fruits, probably drying them or making a fruit bar can be a good option.
