<liketuimages> <center>        </center> </liketuimages> These days with lots of convenience of streaming sites where you have access to dozens of movies and series within your fingertips, it makes movie-theater experience a bit irrelevant. Why go to a place that won’t allow you to snack on your favorite munchies, wear comfy pajamas or have pillows? We can just watch anything online, pirating it, or from these streaming services at a cheaper rate too. Why waste money and time just to experience movie-theater? That’s what I thought at least, until I went to the cinema again after years and I know why the experience is still worth it. There is a massive difference between going to the movie vs watching it at home as a regular person. Unless you have home-theaters with dolby atmos speakers, I rest my case, it’s better to watch it at home. BUT, I am talking about people like me, who don't have a home theater or even a Dolby Atmos speaker. The first thing that I like is about watching the movie with a big screen and without a distraction as far as my eyes could see. As soon as I am seated, all I know is that my eyes are focused on the screen, following the movie, without having to be excessively playing on my phone, pausing and trying to find some trivias here and there. It was just the movie and me. I left the theater knowing I watched the movie and I felt satisfied. Unlike when I am watching it at home, pausing at every moment just to extend what is supposed to be to 2 hours turns into 4-5 hours. It’s also a big bonus to me, it’s time saver and that’s just the way I like it. If you don’t have a superior headphone or audio system, there is some soft music and sounds that are not noticeable. Watching it at home, there are more audio distractions as well. But sitting at the movie, I can hear whispers very clearly and many other sounds that somehow could predict the next following scenes. There is no sound distraction, at all! When it comes to extra conveniences like blankets and pillows, the movie provides it with an extra price. There are services called VIP, premier, etc that also have adjustable reclining seats, pillows and blankets too. Where I am from, they cost only extra $3 from the regular price. It’s also more intimate because usually there are not that many people watching this. Just like today, I watched a movie called The Menu with only 3 other people in a massive theater vip room. They have blankets as well and a pillow that I could even fall asleep in while watching the movie. The biggest thing for me is that I ended up liking to watch movies more and not excessively spoiling myself with spoilers. It makes the movie more enjoyable because I am someone who likes to know the ending before the movie is finished. It truly absorbed me and I didn’t have any spoiled experiences. I also feel like one or two movies are enough for the week instead when I have more conveniences and I would watch multiple movies a day. Just like the common saying, when anything becomes too much, it’s not enjoyable anymore. What about the clothes, can you wear something comfy? Well yes. I don’t give a shit about how people will think. I am showing up to the cinema in my most comfiest outfit. I haven't been to the movies lately. I can't remember the last movie I went to, I think it's been about two years. I've been thinking about going to the movies lately, I think if a new adventure movie comes out or a superhero movie I might go to it.

The last time I went to the movie theatre, it was fun and I remember it was this Spiderman movie I went to watch, the fact that there is no distraction makes it more good to go there and the bug screen

This year I have been to the theaters very few times and just the last time I went I saw Black Adam and I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the film, but the theater where I saw that movie ruined my experience and made me think I could have waited several days and seen that film in the comfort of my home. It bothers me when that happens because I like going to the movies, I really enjoy watching the movie on the big screen, eating popcorn and other treats and since I know that very soon I will be going back to a movie theater, I will just choose better this time. I wish the movie theaters in my city looked like that, believe me I would go more often.

In Venezuela there are no Cinépolis and in the city where I live there are no cinemas like the ones you showed in your publication. What ruined my going to the movie theaters was, first in the room there was a musty smell, second the seats were small and third there was a stain on the screen that ruined several scenes; that is why in the future, I will not go to that theater anymore.

I love going to the movies still!!!! I went and saw the David Bowie biopic but sometimes will go to catch good independent films or blockbuster ones that we know will be awesome on the big screen . It's still worth going I think!

Wuaoo what a spectacular cinema, it looks like the cinema that artists have at home. The cinemas I go to don't have a vip zone I guess because I actually haven't been for years, that answers your question, I haven't been to the cinema in years, like 3 I can't remember, but it was before the pandemic started. My movies at home stretch that long 3 or 4 hours 🤣😆😁 even this week I lasted 3 days 😱 watching one, because it was so bad that I stopped it and so I continued two more days, as I like to finish what I start. Cinema is another world that is worth paying for and experiencing.

😃 That is indeed VIP lounge. There are far better than that though, the cinema with 4D3D experience and also a bed which is great if you are a couple, not so much for single 😂

It's been so long I went to a cinema, that was before covid. I love the experience, it's one way to get myself out of the house but it's too cold for my liking. For some reason, the popcorn sold there tastes better than regular popcorn outside. The big screen also gets all of my attention, I don't even remember I have a phone in my pocket. There's always some guy who thinks he's funny and then makes dry jokes throughout the movie, it pisses me off..lol

It's why I tend to go when I know it's going to be empty. Otherwise, there would be some guy laughing or making some noises. Also during those peak hours, sometimes people kicking your seat and it's very annoying. Also true!! the popcorn is just different and I kinda wonder the kind of corn they use compared to store-bought or even just regular popcorn!
