Have you ever had that moment when things just finally clicked? 

Like you find a ray of hope amidst the chaos?

I used to take life way too seriously back when I was 18 to pretty much 23. I wanted to have everything by 23 and rushed into everything. I almost finished getting everything I wanted but then it crumbled. My mental health got the best of me the last two years and everything I’ve known became ashes and remnants. There was nothing  left that I could hope for, or so I thought. My plan A and B didn’t work. 

I started limiting myself to believe that everything is over and I am going to be stuck in a loop with guilt, resentment, and the past.  At night, I used to get lost in my thoughts thinking that I just fuck up big in life. Then I realized, perhaps I have not let go of the pressure that my circle had on me. That I have to be something by a certain age,stable job, have a house, get married and then die. I felt really old when I didn’t get everything I wanted by 23  then until I saw what old really is.

For no reason, today I thought about it all. I looked closely at people who start late, who leave their stable job for more adventure, who sell their house to be a nomaden, who choose to never marry and never have children. The people that are against what society deems normal. The people who switch different paths in life. Those people are not strangers to me, I met them at some point in my life and they’re really the most interesting people I talk to. And it finally clicked. That’s it’s okay to be different and it’s okay not to have everything by 23, 24 or even 30!

Unfortunately, it's ingrained since we're a child. Perhaps, generation today has it better where there's more awareness that it's okay not to live based on societal standard. But my generation and above, it takes a while to remove all of that from our life.

no rush, take your time to get things done step by step, everyone has his or her own schedule, I used to be super rush when I was in 20-25 either, really rushed to save up money and ended up lost lot of money on the stock markets, want to jump here and there for the better pay job but ended up can't have a stable job till I am 32. 

Don't think you are fuck up in your life, it's not your fault, nobody can tell what's going to be happened tomorrow, people always making wrong decision and fuck up, it's not a big deal.

Your story is inspirational and motivating! It's unfortunate that you lost a lot on the stock markets but at least, you learn something. It happened to me in the past too. I don't know if I am going to look for something 9-5, I like the freedom of deciding the projects I do and everything. It's also reassuring to know that it's okay to fuck up 😃

Life is about changes and making the best out of a situation. The people who “have it all” by age 23,25 30 etc. are mostly lying sack of shit if you ask me lol. There’s a huge facade that people put on for stuff just to get people to be exactly like them. There’s so much confirmation bias nowadays it’s annoying. You aren’t cool or successful until you’ve become a wage slave like me!!11 it’s ridiculous. 

Do what makes you happy and things will work out. You could find the love of your life at age 50, you never know. Just don’t go by their ascribed list of shit and you’ll be okay I think. My wife and I certainly have a lot of peer pressure to do certain things but we say fuck that and do our own thing and it’s what makes us happy.

take it easy cem, its no use if you have everything but in the end you lost your mind just by persuing everything you want. 

I am over 30 now, still don't have everything I wanted, my plan seems to all go wrong. But its life, as long as you still breathing keep moving on. 

And that is very nice if everything is already at peace inside your heart.

You don't know what you just did for me today.

I am in that phase of feeling like I haven't achieved anything, at 23 almost 24, I look at where I wanted to be and I am not there.

It gets me down in my feelings sometimes but like you said, it is okay, as long as there is life.

It's okay, I turned 24 just 8 months ago 😅 and this is the 24 something phase in life. It's okay if you don't have anything in life by 24 or 25. As long as you're content, that's what matter I guess. And never ever lose yourself to just fit in, biggest mistake I had growing up.
