_There are outdoor areas as well that sells furniture, petshop areas, as well as local market and food courts._

Another day I am in time for Market Friday. Last Friday before going back home, my friend and I were going to a place called Chatucak. This area is known for its weekend market where it’s a shopping center from new to used goods. It’s shopping heaven for a shopaholic with wide range selections of goods. Since it was Friday, the market is apparently still closed and the only one that’s open is a place called Mixt Chatuchak, their shopping mall. I honestly don’t want to bring anything home as I already had some things for my mom and myself. But I guess, it’s cultural where we have to bring gifts after we’re going overseas. 

For some people, their family was asking for it but luckily not mine. They know that I don’t like anyone bothering me when it comes to gifts besides I am traveling like a brokie, so they sort of assume that all I bring is only stories about how I lost my wallet and spent hours inside 3rd class train crossing the border to Laos a day before my visa expires. But surprise! I am bringing something home even though it’s just shirts haha. 

“Do you know where I can find a shop that sells shirts which screams “Thailand”?” I asked my friend and she drove me to this area and even asked around where we can find shirts inside that shopping mall. 

So, I ended up looking for t-shirts for my dad, my cousins and my uncle. they like to collect shirts from overseas.  They often get it from their friends who travel overseas quite often. But yeah, next time, I am telling them that I won’t bring clothes anymore since I’ll be moving around without checked baggage. 

Inside this shopping malls you can find a lot of things even next door is apparently a pet area where you can find dogs, cats, rabbit that you can adopt. Funnily, when we were inside the shopping mall, one of the dog was running away and the care taker was running after the dog. 

We ended up finding a shop that sells 100 Baht shirts and I got a few of them. When I got home, my uncle and cousins told me they liked the shirts. They certainly did not expect it as I have told them that I am going home without gifts. 
After walking around, we stop by to get this ice cream bread. It’s really delicious and it costs only 20 Baht. My thai friend said when she was a kid it costs 5 Baht but now it’s already 20 Baht. 

 On our way back, I also want to leave a small things for the hostel I stayed in. The place has been my home for more than 2 months. Since they collect cacti, I ended up getting them one. I told them to take care of it and I’ll be back very soon. But now, I feel sad because I have to leave Bangkok but I know, it’s not going to be very long. I’ll be spending a few weeks with my family, then go back on the road again. I’ll just think of it like a visa run where I’ll be spending time living low-key in a country that I don’t really vibe with.
