#  <center>How to Make Cafe-Like Coffee in the Cheapest Way Possible </center>

In today's series of Roaming For Roast, I am sharing some of my coffee creations that I made while living in the hostel. Though there are an abundance of cafes around me, sometimes I am too lazy to move outside. Even as a place with not so big cafe culture, there are many cafes in each corner and it’s all very accessible. Even the 7/11 in Bangkok, they use a proper coffee machine. However, sometimes I just want to make a coffee that I make on my own and tastes just right— Or simply just the way I like it.

Many people I met told me that they can’t actually taste the difference of coffee. To them, it’s just coffee and they don’t even understand what arabica, robusta, or even excelsa is. Some of them even thought that I got my coffee from a cafe when I made it. While the thing is, I was just using my thermos to whip up a delicious cafe like coffee. Obviously, I am such a heathen now that I use instant coffee as I haven’t even bought beans in here. But again, there’s something called Greek Frappe which I have written about in the past. So, basically the recipes that I’ve been spreading to everyone is how to make cafe coffee but in the cheapest way possible and make it look amazing. 



As you see on the right side, that was made with whipping 2 tsp instant coffee, 2 tsp sugar, and 2 tsp hot water in the thermos. Shake it for 3-4 minutes until it foams. Put some ice on the glass, pour milk of choice and eventually the coffee. The combination makes it look aesthetic and it’s a drink that is easy to impress even a non-coffee lover. Add as much sugar as you want and voila! 

It’s so simple to make and never fails to impress anyone. I even tried making it for a couple of others and they loved it. They asked me things about coffee and I was always happily answering their questions. I hope that whatever they learn from me will be quite memorable and inspire them to look at coffee in a different way- to start looking more than just as a drink.

I also paired the coffee today with cheese ham sandwich that I assembled with whole wheat bread, ham, cheese and some organic lettuce. It was definitely super filling and a great pair for my iced latte for lunch.
