I can confidently say that .io games have risen in popularity during the pandemic. Before the pandemic, though .io games have been there, but they are almost unheard of, at least for non-gamers but with more people spending more time online, these games are the alternatives for people to have fun. One of the famous .io games was scribble.io, where users take turns in guessing the drawing. But, there are many other fun .io games that you can play with your friends or alone. Keep in mind though, many of these games are often inspired from fortnite and fps games. Yet most importantly, what I like about these .io games is that a lot of them don’t require you to sign up. You can simply play it anonymously or play with friends.  They have easy login and only require a browser. With these cool requirements, they really draw me in to play these games.

# 1. Battledudes.io

Coming with a simplistic art, this 2D game is still fun to play, especially with friends. It has a different mission similar to warbrokers.io. Unlike warbrokers though, the weapons in this game are unlockable if you achieve certain stats. You can either create or join a party and have fun playing it with your friends. There are three regions in this game and I can say, the regions are pretty stable. I played on a European server but the lag wasn’t horrible. It was still fun to play and pass the time. 


Before getting into the warzone, there will be this instruction on how to play the game.Click respawn and you will be directed into the battleground.

When you don't login, you can only have some basic weapons. But in my login account, I managed to unlock some more weapons. But overall, this game is fun to play just to pass the time. 

# 2 slither.io

You don’t need to think much while playing this game. Slither.io is a pretty relaxing game where you grow the snake into a bigger and longer snake by eating the dots. One thing to keep in mind though, avoid other snakes and don’t use the mouse too much to boost the movement. Using the mouse to speed up the movement will only shrink the size of the snake. So, use it with caution. For me, another bonus point is that you don’t need to sign up. If you are feeling pretty bored and don’t want to go through the hassle of signing up or even pull up steam, this game will curb your boredom for a while.

# 3 Surviv.io

 This game is a complex version of battle dudes. In this game, you are not given a weapon but you have to punch through crates to find the weapon. You can also play with your friends in this game. If you notice the trees around, they are a good hiding spot and defense from other players who come to shoot in your direction.

# 4. Lordz.io

If you are into RTS and lore, I think lordz.io is your go-to .io game. Though it is an .io game, it’s pretty fun to play with a bit nicer graphics. You can build houses and expand your army in this game. As you can see above, you can choose your hero from the initial game. Again, you don't need to download these game nor even signing up.

All you have to do is simply click play, and you will have a character based on the username that you choose. Throughout the game, you will have to collect the geld to build houses and expand your army.

Compared to other io games, this one will take a bit of time. Not to mention, since many are fps and fornite like, this one is a bit unique and far more interesting.

Overall, .io games are pretty fun to play. They don’t require you to sign up.But these games can be addictive and you’ll eventually want to sign up too. These games are also great for those that don't have powerful gaming laptops. You can still have fun playing some games without having to install any interface, all you need is just your web browser.
