<html> <p>먼저 처음 글에 너무나 큰 관심과 응원을 보내 주셔서 감사합니다.</p> <p>저처럼 이과 출신이라 남을 감동시키는 글쓰기와는 거리가 먼 사람에게는 정말 큰 힘이 됩니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>우리는 왜 커뮤니티라는 곳을 찾을까요?</p> <p><br></p> <p>거기에는 여러 이유가 있을 겁니다. 자기가 원하는 정보를 얻거나 자신이 좋아하는 주제에 대하여 같은 관심사를 가진 사람들과 공유하는 유대감을 느끼기 위함일 수 있습니다. 그냥 단순히 남과 소통하는 것이 좋아서 일 수도 있죠.</p> <p>사실 이 모든 것이 다 해당하는 분들이 더 많으리라 생각합니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>제가 땡글에 대해 알게 된 건 처음 암호통화라는 것에 대해 정보를 찾을 때였습니다. 우선 땡글이 마음에 들었던 점은 다른 코인 기반 커뮤니티보다 전문적이며 이성적인 분위기였습니다. </p> <p>하지만 , 결국 사람이 모이는 곳에 잡음이나 문제가 생기지 않을 수는 없는 것이지요.</p> <p><br></p> <p>물론 제가 드리고 싶은 이야기가 결코 개인적인 불만이나 실망을 이야기 하는 것이 아닙니다. 과연 , 커뮤니티라는 곳은 어떤 방향성을 가지고 나아가야 하는 것인가 하는 문제입니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>제가 가입한 이후 가장 큰 이슈가 되었던 것은 작년 말부터 시작된 정부의 반 가상화폐(저는 이 단어가 싫지만 그들이 그렇게 부르니 이렇게 적습니다.) 정책으로 시장이 요동칠 무렵입니다.</p> <p>많은 회원들이 정부와 대통령을 비난하는 글을 올렸고 현 정부와 대통령을 지지하는 회원들이 이를 문제 삼았습니다. 이후 많은 진통과 논란 속에 결국 정치적인 글은 별도의 게시판을 만들어 익명으로 올리게 되었습니다.</p> <p>이제 다른 게시판에 조금이라도자기 진영에 불리한 글이 올라오면 정치색을 이유로 비난이 난무합니다. 정작 정치 게시판에는 익명을 방패 삼아 인터넷에서 흔히 보게 되는 찌라시 수준의 글들만 난무하여 저 같이 건전하면서도 생산적인 토론을 기대했던 사람들은 아예 거리를 두게 되었습니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>위의 사건이 커뮤니티의 변질을 가져온 사건이었다면 제가 그 곳에 실망하고 떠나게 된 계기는 그 곳도 제가 믿던 상식이 통하지 않는 곳이라 느꼈기 때문입니다.</p> <p>최근의 이슈는 한 그래픽카드 유통사의 A/S 거부 정책 때문입니다. 채굴용 제품에 대한 제한적 A/S가 적용되자 많은 회원들이 손해를 보게 되었다며 불매 운동 등의 비난을 시작하였습니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>저로서는 도저히 이해가 가지 않습니다. 물론 채굴용으로 사용했는지 아닌지 판단하는 과정 자체가 합리적이지 못한 부분은 있습니다. </p> <p>다만 제가 가진 상식 선에서는 그래픽카드에 100% 로드를 주고 24시간 365일 사용하는 행위가 결코 일반적인 사용 패턴이라고는 할 수 없다는 것입니다. 이후 제가 이런 내용의 글을 여러 차례 올렸지만 역시나 비난적인 반응만 돌아옵니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>무엇보다 내가 돈 주고 산 물건 어떻게 쓰던 내 마음이다 , 당연히 물건 팔 때는 그 정도는 예상하고 만들어야 하지 않느냐 라는 소리에 참 어이가 없더군요.</p> <p>모든 대중 브랜드의 제품은 "상식적인" 소비자가 "합리적인" 수준에서 사용하는 것을 전제로 만들어집니다. 더 가혹한 환경에서 사용할수록 제품에 요구되는 내구성은 높아지며 이는 가격 상승을 불러 옵니다. 또 고객들의 비정상적인 사용으로 A/S 요구가 높아지면 이는 제품 가격에 반영될 수 밖에 없습니다.</p> <p>일반적인 소비자들 - 게이머들 - 의 채굴업자에 대한 적개심은 바로 이런 이유에서 입니다. 채굴업자들이 현금다발 들고 다니며 그래픽카드 가격을 있는데로 올려 버렸습니다. 구하고 싶어도 물건이 없습니다.</p> <p>그 상황에서 그들은 24시간 혹사시킨 제품이 고장나자 무상 교체를 요구합니다. 결국 제조사는 당초 목표로 했던 수치보다 훨씬 많은 비용을 감당해야 합니다. 이는 결국 채굴을 하지 않는 일반 사용자 층의 비용으로 떠넘기게 됩니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>무엇보다 나만 돈 벌면 되지 남이 무슨 상관이냐 , 내 돈 주고 산 물건 어떻게 쓰던 내 마음이다 , 이런 이기심과 갑질 마인드에 질려 버렸습니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>어딘가 비슷하지 않으신가요? 바로 지금 스팀잇에서 어뷰징을 하는 사람들이 가지고 있는 마인드입니다.</p> <p>그들에게 커뮤니티라는 생태계의 미래는 중요하지 않습니다. 오로지 내가 투입한 시간 , 돈에 대한 회수가 가능하냐가 전부일 뿐이죠. 결국 이런 마인드가 대세가 되어 버린다면 그 커뮤니티의 미래는 뻔합니다.</p> <p>과연 그런 곳에서 사람들은 자신이 원하는 것을 얻을 수 있을까요? 무엇을 공감할 수 있을까요?</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p>제가 암호통화가 만들어 갈 미래에 희망을 가지고 투자를 할 수 있는 건 그 미래가 우리 모두의 이익을 위하는 올바른 길이라 믿기 때문입니다.</p> <p>물론 지금도 부에 의한 독점이라는 현 시스템의 문제가 나타나고 있습니다. 이 점은 스팀잇도 마찬가지이죠.어뷰징 논란의 핵심은 가진 자의 부를 어떻게 나누느냐의 문제 입니다. 우리끼리만 잘 살 것인가 , 모두가 잘 살 것인가</p> <p><br></p> <p>저를 포함해서 스팀잇의 미래를 믿고 좋은 글을 올려주시는 모든 분들의 소망은 바로 후자일 거라 믿습니다.</p> <p>암호통화라는 플랫폼 , 그 속의 스팀잇이라는 플랫폼에 대한 비난과 회의에도 불구하고 우리가 그 길을 계속 갈 수 있는 것은 사토시가 제시한 이상이 있기 때문입니다.</p> <p>물론 이 세상에 완벽한 시스템도 , 이상적인 시스템도 존재할 수 없을지 모릅니다. 하지만 중요한 것은 그 시스템을 이루고 움직이는 사람들이 그 이상을 믿느냐 아니냐의 문제입니다.</p> <p>이상을 믿고 해결책을 찾는 과정 자체를 부정해서는 새로운 미래를 만들 수 없습니다. </p> <p><br></p> <p>제가 늘 투자의 멘토로 삼는 @granturismo 님은 항상 글을 쓰시는 원동력이 자신이 가진 지식을 남과 나누기 위함이라고 하십니다. 자신이 스팀잇으로 얻은 것들을 항상 보팅으로 돌려주시는 분입니다.</p> <p>저는 이런 활동이 우리가 믿는 이상이자 선의이며 스팀잇이라는 커뮤니티가 가지는 가치라고 봅니다.</p> <p><br></p> <p>비록 짧은 시간이지만 이 곳에서 만난 많은 분들의 글이 저같은 뉴비가 글을 쓸 수 있게 만드는 원동력입니다.</p> <p>항상 감사한 마음으로 읽고 있습니다. 어느 한 집단에서 무언가에 맹목적인 지지를 할 때 옳은 얘기를 하는 소수는 지탄의 대상이 될 수 밖에 없는 것 같습니다. 시간이 지나고 나면 증명이 되겠지만 그 당시에 상처를 받은 소수를 신경쓰는 사람은 많지 않은 게 현실이란 점이 안타까울 뿐이죠.
