Hola querida comunidad amantes de la buena comida y del arte de cocinar con sabor a hogar. Hoy les quiero compartir mi almuerzo de hoy, carne mechada servida con arroz y tajadas, un almuerzo sencillo pero que me  encanta preparar. Me gusta mucho la carne mechada y siempre hago mucha para que me quede para acompañar unas deliciosas arepas, les añado salsa y muchos vegetales,  queso y todo lo que consiga en la nevera, confieso que no pienso en la dieta, es mi placer culposo. Acá les explico cómo preparé la carne mechada.

Ingredientes/ Ingredients:

- ½ Kilo de carne para Desmechar/ ½ kilo of meat to shred.
- 1 tomate, medio pimentón y media cebolla/ 1 tomato, half paprika and half onion.
- Cubito de carne, salsa de ajo, paprika, salsa de tomate, salsa inglesa, sal, aceite/ Meat cube, garlic sauce, paprika, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, oil.
- Arroz, plátano amarillo/ Rice, yellow plantain.

Procedimiento/ Process:

Paso 1: Para  comenzar colocar la carne a cocinar en un litro de agua, añadir medio cubito de carne o simplemente sal al gusto. Cocinar hasta que ablande, de ser necesario añadir más agua hasta que esto ocurra. Una vez la carne haya ablandado proceder a desmechar y volver a colocar en la olla, agregar un poco del agua donde se cocinó, ya que esta contiene los jugos de la carne.

Paso 2: Cortar un tomate, media cebolla y medio pimentón en trocitos, agregar a la  carne.

Paso 3: Condimentar la  carne con paprika, salsa de ajo, salsa inglesa, salsa de tomate y sal al gusto. Cocinar hasta que sequen los jugos y los vegetales ablanden. La salsa de tomate es opcional, pero me gusta ese toque dulce que aporta a la receta. 

>Step 3: Season the meat with paprika, garlic sauce, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and salt to taste. Cook until the juices dry and the vegetables soften. The tomato sauce is optional, but I like that sweet touch it brings to the recipe.

Paso 4: En una paila agregar un poquito de aceite, una taza de arroz y dos de agua, cocinar hasta que ablande. Colocar al horno plátano para asar.
