Thanks to [dantheman(8)'s article](https://steemit.com/steemit/@dantheman/brief-update-on-reputation-score), I have found out about the meaning of the new reputation system, decided by how often people upvote and/or downvote your articles. You can see next to your username a number in brackets, which represents your reputation. 
The highest reputation is 9 and the lowest is -8. Only 1 person has a reputation of 9 right now (Congratulations @stellabelle). 感谢 @dantheman，我发现了steemit有新的声望系统，是通过有多少人给予好评或downvote你的文章来决定。你可以看到在你的名字旁边括号里有个数字，就是你的声望值。最高是9，最低是负8。只有一个人是9（恭喜 @stellabelle）。

I am very excited that I got a reputation of 7. Only lower than 87 people (1 with a reputation of 9 and 86 with a reputation of 8). Figure 2 below shows the cumulative frequency and percentage. It can be used to find out your relative position on the reputation scale. For example, if you have reputation level 4, there are 5826 people (13.085%) between level 4 and 9. That means you are in the top 13.085% of the Steemit population. 图二显示每个声望值的累积人数和百分比。这可以用来查询你的声望值在steemit社群中的相对位置。比如说，如果你的声望值是4，有5826个人（13.085%）的声望值是在4跟9之间。这代表你是在最高13.085%的声望值中。
