What makes affiliate marketing so attractive is the low barriers to entry and low start up costs since you don’t need to develop products, you don’t need to hire customer support teams or large web developers…none of that. Let’s talk about the required investments.

First and foremost, we recommend you use a landing page, squeeze page or a website. It will cost you under $15 a year to register a domain name, and you will need to host your website for approximately $7 a month. (we show you exactly how to do this in the next lessons). Other optional expenses include using easy drag and drop website builders which we explain in later steps which would cost about $100 for lifetime access. This web builder is only optional and we also show how to build your blog or webpage without it.

After that, on a minimal budget, your only ongoing expense will be the cost of website’s hosting, and if you choose to pay for traffic or website visitors this would be an optional expense. There are ways to get traffic without spending money, and we will explain all traffic methods in our other training.

**Therefore we arrive at the startup cost of around $200 – $250.**

Speaking of the time investment, you can invest as little or as much time as you want. It can be anything from a couple of hours a week to one to two hours a day, to a full working day. When you are finally in the position to quit your day job you will be happy you spent some time learning this business :).

The best advice is to take it one step at a time, and not jump into the river without thoroughly educating yourself about the underwater surprises.
