Feliz y Bendecido día para todos por acá! Hoy estoy muy animada de unirme a una iniciativa muy bien pensada de @janettyanez, en la que debemos reflexionar sobre como enfrentamos el cambio en nuestra vida a través de la lectura de una obra literaria. Es la primera vez que participo en una iniciativa de Encuentros de Bienestar en @holos-lotus así que espero que esté post sea del agrado de todos.

Leí “¿Quién se llevó mi Queso?” cuando estaba en la Universidad por una asignación de una profesora de Literatura pero hasta este momento entiendo la utilidad práctica que tiene, imagino que por mi inmadurez de aquellos días. Incluso recuerdo poco así que es como leerlo por primera vez y me agrada la forma ligera en la que se explican las circunstancias y se relatan los detalles. Sus primeras líneas me llevan a mi pasado, me hacen pensar que ha habido muchas oportunidades en mi vida de hacer las cosas diferentes, pero no me llevan al pasado para matarme con la culpa, sino para dejarme saber que esas heridas han sanado. Si, sane con el tiempo aquellas heridas que yo misma me provoque al aferrarme a cosas / personas / situaciones / lugares y que ahora ya ni falta me hacen. 

>I read “Who Moved My Cheese?” when I was at the University for an assignment from a Literature professor but until now I understand the practical use it has, I imagine because of my immaturity in those days. I even remember little so it's like reading it for the first time and I like the light way in which the circumstances are explained and the details are recounted. Its first lines take me to my past, they make me think that there have been many opportunities in my life to do things differently, but they do not take me to the past to kill myself with guilt, but to let me know that those wounds have healed. Yes, heal over time those wounds that I cause myself by clinging to things / people / situations / places and that now I don't even need them.

Antes de llegar a la narración me hice esta pregunta: ¿Por qué le tenemos miedo al cambio? Obviamente le tememos a lo desconocido, pero yo tampoco conozco a todos en la calle y sin embargo soy capaz de saludarles e intentar conversar, antes de echarme a correr y huir. Lo mismo deberíamos hacer cuando se nos presentan los cambios pero creo que la respuesta está en que no nos educan para ello. Nuestros padres incluso, quizás no sepan cómo enfrentar el cambio. ¿Y no es una herramienta valiosa para enseñar a nuestros hijos desde pequeños? Yo creo que sí. Me parece que si queremos inculcar valores, principios, modales, ejemplos y brindarles educación, seguridad y otras cosas, también debemos brindarles herramientas poderosas como las que transmite esta sencilla historia. Ya sea que la adaptemos o no, esta puede ser la semilla que haga a tu hijo o hija una persona FELIZ, que florezca la felicidad en él, en cada cosa que suceda en su vida aunque un día tú ya no estés cerca. 

>Before coming to the narrative I asked myself this question: Why are we afraid of change? Obviously we are afraid of the unknown, but I don't know everyone on the street either, and yet I am able to greet them and try to have a conversation, before running and running away. We should do the same when changes are presented to us, but I think the answer is that they do not educate us for it. Even our parents may not know how to deal with change. And isn't it a valuable tool to teach our children from an early age? I think so. It seems to me that if we want to instill values, principles, manners, examples and provide them with education, security and other things, we must also provide them with powerful tools like the ones conveyed by this simple story. Whether we adapt it or not, this may be the seed that makes your son or daughter a HAPPY person, that happiness blossoms in him, in everything that happens in his life even if one day you are no longer around.

Porque el QUESO es para los ratones lo que es para nosotros el ÉXITO. Pero este no tiene que ser igual para todo el mundo, lo importante individualmente es relativo porque con el paso del tiempo, la misma vida la va dando forma a nuestros más profundos deseos. 

>Because CHEESE is to mice what SUCCESS is to us. But this does not have to be the same for everyone, what is important individually is relative because over time, life itself is shaping our deepest desires.

Creo que en el tiempo de pandemia este libro nos hizo falta a todos porque todos tuvimos que enfrentar cambios de todo nivel, unos más, otros menos, algunos temporales que casi fueron una pausa, otros verdaderamente radicales como para mí. Trabajo, amigos, rutina, ingresos, salud, todo fue decayendo y cada vez haciéndose más traumático. Y justo cuando “le agarras la vuelta” al asunto, sucede algo que te hace retroceder y dejar de sentir esa estabilidad que sentías antes. Y comenzamos a buscar ese QUESO de nuevo. 

>I think that in the time of the pandemic we all needed this book because we all had to face changes at all levels, some more, others less, some temporary ones that were almost a pause, others truly radical like for me. Work, friends, routine, income, health, everything was declining and becoming more and more traumatic. And just when you "grab the turn" on the matter, something happens that makes you go back and stop feeling that stability that you felt before. And we started looking for that CHEESE again.

Después de leer un poco más reconozco que HE SIDO MUY HAW Y HEM en mi vida, sobre todo durante el último año cuando me sentía muy segura de mi lugar en Hive, en una plataforma donde mis ingresos me estaban ayudando a pagar mi casa, donde estaba “segura” de que creando contenido obtendría el éxito que me “quito” la pandemia con mi carrera hotelera. ¿Acaso me sentía superior? Lo que si se es que reaccione de la misma forma que los liliputienses. Y aunque tuve un poco de actividad, no tuve mucha productividad. 

>After reading a little more I recognize that I HAVE BEEN VERY HAW AND HEM in my life, especially during the last year when I felt very sure of my place in Hive, in a platform where my income was helping me pay for my house, where I was “sure” that by creating content I would achieve the success that the pandemic “took” me with my hotel career. Did I feel superior? What I do know is that I react in the same way as the Lilliputians. And while I was a little active, I wasn't very productive.

Pero mirando con detalle puedo decir que: 
∆ Fui Haw y Hem cuando perdí mi trabajo por la pandemia
∆ Fui Fisgón y Escurridizo cuando llegue a Hive
∆ Fui Haw y Hem cuando hackearon mi antigua cuenta en Hive
∆ Fui Fisgón y Escurridizo cuando encontré mi nuevo trabajo

Soy un poco de los 4, ahora que puedo sentir un poco de equilibrio entre todo.
Entonces creo que desempolvar este libro me hace reflexionar sobre muchas otras cosas (y no creo que pare mientras escribo estas líneas), sobre lo que vale la pena, sobre lo que de verdad le estoy poniendo interés y corazón en mi vida. Cultivar la habilidad de adaptarse a los cambios no debe ser nada fácil pero creo que es una tarea que bien vale la pena intentar o por lo menos tener conciencia de que se puede alcanzar. Por los momentos me despido viendo un poquito más de luz, sabiendo que no todo está perdido y que nuestro crecimiento personal está en nuestras propias manos siempre que tengamos claras nuestras metas, prioridades u objetivos. También me voy con más ganas de transmitir estas experiencias a mis hijas y lograr empoderarlas, reforzarlas y por supuesto acompañarlas en su crecimiento porque es mi responsabilidad ser agente multiplicador de todo aquello que sume para su desarrollo. Les contaré a mis más cercanos un resumen de este libro y quien quita, a lo mejor alguno cambia el chip. 

>But looking in detail I can say that: 
∆ I was Haw and Hem when I lost my job due to the pandemic 
∆ I was Snoopy and Sneaky when I got to Hive
∆ I was Haw and Hem when my old Hive account was hacked
∆ I was Snoopy and Sneaky when I found my new job I'm a bit of all 4, now that I can feel a bit of balance between everything. 

>So I think that dusting off this book makes me reflect on many other things (and I don't think I'll stop as I write these lines), about what is worth it, about what I am really putting interest and heart into in my life. Cultivating the ability to adapt to change should not be easy, but I think it is a task that is well worth trying or at least being aware that it can be achieved. For the moment I say goodbye seeing a little more light, knowing that not everything is lost and that our personal growth is in our own hands as long as we are clear about our goals, priorities or objectives. I also leave with more desire to transmit these experiences to my daughters and empower them, reinforce them and of course accompany them in their growth because it is my responsibility to be a multiplying agent of everything that adds to their development. I will tell my closest ones a summary of this book and whoever removes it, maybe someone changes the chip.
