<div class="text-justify">Happy Proof of Brain Community Day Although I have talked about music on other occasions, such as its effect on children and adults, I am still impressed by its reach into the environment, this time in the animal kingdom.

Feliz día comunidad Proof of Brain aunque he hablado de la música en otras oportunidades, como su efecto en niños y adultos, no deja de impresionarme su alcance en el medio ambiente, en esta oportunidad en el reino animal.

Recently I saw a video of an animal shelter located in Brazil, where a girl plays a soft song with a guitar in the company of a large cow, which upon hearing the melody, lies on her lap and falls serenely almost asleep to the sound of the music, after sharing affectionate caresses with the girl, as if she were a small pet.  Particularly I have observed how dogs and cats calm down or shake to the rhythm of certain music, not only for the type of music, but for the volume it has, which can affect them and cause them fear and even panic not knowing what it means or what produces them, not only rockets or fireworks, but also any loud noise, a door or a fallen object.

Recientemente vi un vídeo de un refugio animal ubicado en Brasil, en dónde una chica toca una suave canción con guitarra en compañía de una gran vaca, que al oír la melodía, se acuesta en su regazo y se queda serenamente casi dormida al son de la música, luego de compartir caricias de afecto con la chica, como si fuese un pequeño animal doméstico.  Particularmente he observado como perros y gatos se calman o agitan al ritmo de determinada música, no solo por el tipo de música, si no por el volumen que está tenga, que puede afectarlos y causarles miedo y hasta pánico al no saber que significa o que los produce, no solo los cohetes o fuegos artificiales, también cualquier ruido fuerte, una puerta o un objeto caído.

But I had never seen this effect in animals on a large scale. In this regard, I checked and found that there are studies that have shown that animals do not distinguish between musical genres, their brains do not recognize what the music itself is and only lean towards the music that is more pleasant or relaxing for them.  So I saw that there is a farm in England that plays soothing music to dairy cows and it was proven that they produce 3% more milk than when they are in silence or with loud and noisy music. This reminded me of the country men who sing to the milking cows, and with this they relax and give more milk. How it is told and sung in the Venezuelan plains for example.

Pero nunca había visto este efecto en animales a gran escala. Al respecto revise y encontré que hay estudios que han dado como resultado, que los animales no distinguen de género musical, su cerebro no reconoce que es la música propiamente y solo se inclinan por la música que es más agradable o relajante para ellos.  Así Vi que hay una finca en Inglaterra que les pone música relajante a las vacas lecheras y se comprobó que estás producen 3% más de leche que al estar en silencio o con una música fuerte y más ruidosa. Lo cual me hizo recordar a los hombres del campo que le cantan a las vacas de ordeño, y con esto se relajan y dan más leche. Cómo se cuenta y canta en el llano venezolano por ejemplo.

In Spain I also read there is a farm in Madrid, which accompanies the milking work with Mozart music religiously 3 times a day. These activities in the farms, that although it is done with a lucrative purpose to obtain better profits from the cows, just make me think about the video of the cow lying down with the girl with the guitar, and that it all comes down to the empathy that these people show to these animals. Seeing how a simple action with these cows, for example playing music that pleases them, results in greater productivity. The music acts as a sedative that they like and they are more willing to do their natural job of giving milk.

En España también leí  hay una finca en Madrid, que acompaña la labor de ordeño con música de Mozart religiosamente 3 veces al día. Estas actividades en las granjas, que si bien es hecho con un fin lucrativo para obtener mejores ganancias de las vacas , solo me hacen pensar en el vídeo de la vaca tumbada con la chica de la guitarra, y en que todo se reduce a la empatía que le demuestran estás personas a estos animales. Ver cómo una simple acción con estas vacas, por ejemplo ponerles una música que les agrada, da como resultado mayor productividad. La música actúa como un sedante que les gusta y están más dispuestas en su labor natural de dar leche.

I think that nothing is by chance, someone at some point discovered this effect of music, and had the gesture to continue practicing it and has been replicating this action, from the plains to the large farms. This action of the cows is a reminder that we are not alone in this world, that all species count, they feel, we cannot only subjugate them to obtain a benefit, they respond to our kindest treatment, like any human being, they treat them with kindness and so they respond. Not only domestic animals, but also other species.

Pienso que nada es casualidad, alguien en algún momento descubrió este efecto de la música, y tuvo el gesto de seguirlo practicando y se ha ido replicando está acción, desde el llano hasta las grandes fincas. Este actuar de las vacas es un recordatorio de que no estamos solos en este mundo, que todas las especies cuentan, sienten, no podemos solo avasallarlas para obtener un beneficio, ellas responden a nuestro trato más amable, como cualquier ser humano, las tratan con amabilidad y así responden. No solo los animalitos domésticos, también de otras especies.

This has been an example with cows, but I think it is something that we should always apply and remember, with people, with all animals, with living beings, that are in this world, our world, the only one we have. Meditation is a unique medicine, it can generate changes in our lives that go beyond the spiritual because it leads us to a balanced organism mentally and physically. Particularly although I do not practice yoga formally I do meditations especially when I feel that the day to day problems collapse my system.

Este ha sido un ejemplo con las vacas, pero creo que es algo que debemos aplicar y recordar siempre, con las personas, con todos los animales, con los seres vivos, que están en este mundo, nuestro mundo, el único que tenemos. La meditación es una medicina única, puede generar cambios en nuestra vida que van más allá de lo espiritual pues nos conducen a un organismo equilibrado mental y físicamente. Particularmente aunque no practico yoga con formalidad si hago meditaciones especialmente cuando siento que los problemas del día a día colapsan mi sistema.</div>
