Recently I bought two mini-drones. The $250 Dobby, and the $99 DJI Tello.

With the Dobby being over twice the price of the Tello you would expect it to be better, right?

I don't like to write negative reviews, but this needs to be said to warn people to stay away.

### The Dobby Drone is bad. Very bad

Unfortunately, it is a terrible drone and I advise you to stay clear of it. Save your money, buy the Tello.

* The video is higher resolution, but incredibly wobbly to the point of being pretty worthless.
* Wifi control is jerky and imprecise, to the point where you don't actually feel in control and videos from it make people feel queezy 
* In only light wind it is thrown around like a feather. Being half way between a whoop and a mavic, but bad at everything.
* It refused to connect using my android, and requires a member login so you need a data connection, even though it uses wifi.

### 1 minute 20 seconds of battery life!

Some reviews out there talk about getting two batteries in the box, I only got one. 

This battery, including trying to get two different devices to connect, lasted just 80 seconds on a full charge.

***Enough to nearly lose the drone.***

It flew up. Argued with me about where it should point, then started coming in for a landing ... far away from where it launched, down a steep mountainside.

**At this point I don't think I would have been as upset as you would think.**

As I say, the charger said the battery was full, and I checked using the on-battery indicator before launching.

* Was it because of the weather? There was some light snow and wind. It was cold but not freezing.
* Loose battery? If so, that is pretty bad design flaw in itself ...
* Bad battery? I am not going to buy another to check because I am pretty sure I won't be using this drone again

Dobby is a very bad drone.
