Espero estén teniendo unos buenos días en esta semana que inicio el mes de marzo, como de costumbre, paso por acá a dejarles algunas recomendaciones en series, en esta oportunidad, comentaré sobre Gambito de Dama, una serie que salió el año pasado en Netflix, la cual es súper corta y bastante buena para maratonear un solo día. Esta serie fue inspirada en un libro creado en el año 1983, teniendo como eje particular el ajedrez, sin embargo, es más la trama que nos llega a atraer a muchos, siendo de esta manera, una serie que lo tiene todo, principalmente por mi gusto particular de series de época, ya que los hechos son relatados a finales del siglo pasado y eso, es algo digno de admirar para colocar en escena muchos de estos detalles.

This series was inspired by a book created in 1983, having chess as a particular axis, however, it is more the plot that attracts many of us, being in this way, a series that has it all, mainly for my particular taste of period series, since the facts are told at the end of the last century and that is something worthy of admiration to put on stage many of these details.

La historia que nos representa esta grandiosa serie, llegó a conquistar a muchos en tiempo récord. Teniendo en consideración de quién trata la serie, Beth Harmon, la cual fue huérfana, solitaria, politoxicómana, competitiva, frágil, genial. una gran maestra del ajedrez cuya inteligencia le brinda tantos éxitos como problemas al momento de relacionarse con otros que se apasionan también por el mundo del ajedrez. Todo un coctel en su personalidad, qué sin duda, nos va a gustar mucho verla en su interpretación.

Recordemos que esta serie parte de un libro, así que para aquellos que en algún momento han tenido la oportunidad de leer el libro, quizás encuentren algunas diferencias, recordemos que cambia mucho si ambiente al momento de llevar todo a la gran pantalla y es cuando vemos algunos detalles que quizás magnifiquen su desarrollo o en otros casos, lo termine de arruinar. En donde podemos presenciar que es más basada en lo que fue el pasado de Beth, teniendo en su presente un solo objetivo, restando lo que es su desarrollo sentimental. Esta referencia la hago por la determinación que muestra durante todos los episodios de su serie, no hay momento alguno donde se plantee una vida más allá de lo que desea tener y como lo obtiene en ese caso, siendo en algunas ocasiones, un poco fría.

In which we can witness that it is more based on what was Beth's past, having in her present a single objective, subtracting what is her sentimental development. I make this reference because of the determination she shows during all the episodes of her series, there is no moment where she considers a life beyond what she wants to have and how she gets it in that case, being sometimes a little cold.

Algo que me ha gustado mucho de esta serie es el desarrollo y crecimiento del personaje de Beth, porque empezamos con un viaje en el tiempo y teniendo muchas consideraciones de como fue que se motivó al mundo del ajedrez y sus primeros inicios, no todas las series se toman el tiempo de hacernos esta retrospectiva, qué muchas veces, nos ayudan a tener mejor visión de lo que va a acontecer. Es un personaje que siempre está creciendo y que si aprende de la gente que la quiere ayudar, mientras que en la serie hay partes donde parece que Beth ya sabe todo y casi no aprende de otros como con Harry Beltik, ya que algunos de sus oponentes, le empiezan a tener cierto grado de empatía y admiración.   

>Something that I really liked about this series is the development and growth of Beth's character, because we start with a journey through time and having many considerations of how she was motivated to the world of chess and her first beginnings, not all series take the time to make us this retrospective, which many times, help us to have a better vision of what is going to happen. She is a character who is always growing and who learns from the people who want to help her, while in the series there are parts where it seems that Beth already knows everything and almost does not learn from others as with Harry Beltik, since some of her opponents begin to have a certain degree of empathy and admiration for her.

La serie por muy corta que se presentó, deja todo extremadamente claro, bastante preciso en lo que amerita y con muchos escenarios para desarrollar, no teniendo tiempo, como en su propia vida, de desarrollar otros aspectos, más sociales o de metas más propias de lo que tenían las mujeres en aquella época. Precisamente, gracias a esto, podemos decir que fue todo un éxito, por como fue dirigida de principio a fin y con un gran mensaje que dejarnos en todo momento, no deja de ser todo un evento.

Esta clasificación está basada primeramente en el desarrollo de la serie, siendo bastante excepcional, con un inicio y fin muy bueno, los detalles de ambiente en donde se desarrolla, la vestimenta e ideologías de ese tiempo, son propios de clasificar la serie a lo más alto.
