We currently live in a very turbulent world, where non-renewable natural resources are being lost and where we increasingly poison our environment. 

There is a lot of concern on the part of many countries and non-governmental organizations that work to protect the planet. 

I see with increasing concern how human beings are heading directly towards the extension of the planet. Too much pollution and people don't seem to care about doing their bit to make the world cleaner. 

Because perhaps they think that they are going to enjoy the planet and they are not going to still be alive when it is really destroyed or is at a level where the planet is no longer livable, because the pollution is going to reach such a point that we will to have completely poisoned and unbreathable air, the seas full of plastic, the marine creatures completely infected and dying precisely because of the amount of plastics, chemicals and toxins that will be in the sea, and will precisely contaminate the fish, all the foods we consume. 

We definitely have to take measures to prevent this from happening.

I try to collaborate with small things that I know make a difference. 

For example, every time I leave a room I turn off the lights, I try to have energy-saving LED light bulbs in my home and I turn off all the devices that I do not use. 

My TV right now is completely off because I'm not using it. My cell phone, because I'm not using it, is also turned off at this moment. I try as much as possible to save water.

In fact, when I'm not using the water at home, I turn off the main faucet so that the water doesn't continue to flow. In this way I save water and on my balcony I have some containers that collect rainwater and in this way I use that water to reuse it and water the plants. Also for, for example, cleaning the floor, doing homework and things like that. Rainwater works for me.

And I try to recycle all plastic products. 

I use the soda or mineral water bottles as flower pots and plant aloe vera plants or different flowers there. In this way I help the planet. 

And as a final point, I use biodegradable products, detergents that are biodegradable and I always try to buy products that are local, from local producers so that I help them, support them in this way and improve the environment. 

I believe that if all of us take these small actions, these small measures, we will achieve a better world, we will be able to live better and save the planet, which is what we need. 

We also require that people plant more trees so that the planet is oxygenated, detoxified from all this large amount of poisons that are in the environment. 

And I hope that we manage to leave a more habitable, more oxygenated world with more natural resources for the generations that come after us. 

I have no hope that that will happen, but I hope so.

Actualmente vivimos en un mundo muy convulsionado, en donde los recursos naturales no renovables se van perdiendo y donde cada vez intoxicamos más nuestro medio ambiente. 

Hay bastante preocupación de parte de muchos países y de organizaciones no gubernamentales que se ocupan en proteger el planeta. 

Yo cada vez veo con más preocupación cómo los seres humanos nos dirigimo directamente hacia la extensión del planeta. Demasiada contaminación y la gente pareciera que no le importa poner su granito de arena para hacer que tengamos un mundo más limpio. 

Porque tal vez piensan que el planeta pues lo van a disfrutar ellos y no van a seguir vivos para cuando realmente se destruya o esté a un nivel en que el planeta ya no sea vivible, porque la contaminación va a llegar a tal punto de que vamos a tener un aire completamente intoxicado e irespirable, los mares llenos de plástico, las criaturas marinas completamente infectadas y muriéndose precisamente por la cantidad de plásticos, de químicos y de tóxicos que van a estar en el mar, y van a contaminar precisamente los peces, todos los alimentos que nosotros consumimos. 

Definitivamente hay que ir tomando medidas para evitar que esto pase.

Yo  trato de colaborar con pequeñas cosas que sé que logran la diferencia. 

Por ejemplo, cada vez que salgo de una habitación yo apago las luces, procuro tener dentro de mi hogar bombillos led que ahorran energía y apago todos los aparatos que yo no uso. 

Mi televisión en este momento está completamente apagada porque no la estoy usando. Mi celular, porque no lo estoy usando, está tambien apagado en este momento. Trato de lo posible de ahorrar agua.

De hecho, cuando no estoy usando el agua en casa, cierro el grifo principal para que el paso de agua no siga fluyendo. De esta manera ahorro agua y en mi balcón tengo unos recipientes que recogen el agua de la lluvia y de esa manera utilizo esa agua para pues reutilizarle y regar las plantas. También para, por ejemplo, limpiar el piso, pasar coleto y esas cosas. Me sirve el agua de lluvia.

Y  trato de reciclar todos los productos plásticos. 

Las botellas de refresco o de agua mineral, las utilizo como maceteros y siembro plantas de sábila o distintas flores allí. De esta manera ayudo el planeta. 

Y como punto final utilizo productos biodegradables, detergentes que son biodegradables y trato siempre de comprar productos que sean locales, a los productores locales que así los ayudo,  los apoyo de esta manera y mejoro el medio ambiente. 

Creo que si todas las personas tomamos estas pequeñas acciones, estas pequeñas medidas, vamos a lograr tener un mejor mundo, vamos a poder vivir mejor y salvar al planeta, que es lo que necesitamos. 

Requerimos también que la gente siembre más árboles para que el planeta se oxigene, se desintoxique de toda esta gran cantidad de venenos que hay en el ambiente. 

Y ojalá que logremos dejarle un mundo más habitable, más oxigenado y con más recursos naturales a las generaciones que vienen luego de nosotros. 

Yo no tengo esperanza de que eso ocurra, pero pues ojalá que sea así.

Good morning @manclar, it's a complicated issue. What is certain is that as humanity we are not behaving well with the Earth. The little things you mention as ways to take care of the planet I share. 

However I don't believe that the life of the planet depends on our small positive actions, for example, here in Europe we have a war that has been going on for two years now, and that I am sure is a great source of all kinds of comatmination, including radioactive....

But who are responsible for that war? Humans, so there is the root of the problem. If we don't stop polluting, killing, dirtying and doing these things, well the trees will run out (this is no joke) and in 100 years we will be the next race to become extinct (you haven't asked me but I think it's the best that can happen to us). happen, yes, in a few thousand more years, the sun is going to burn us, so it doesn't matter if we die before or after ha!)
