## <center>What's up Splinter Addicts!!!</center>
##### **This your fellow warrior mango-juice with another Splinterlands share your battle weakly challenge post!!**
Well, the world has almost recovered from the COVID-19 epidemic and the normal days are coming back. Though there is no news about a vaccine, people are abiding by all the necessary steps to stay safe from this deadly virus. I think we have to continue using all safety matters (wearing gloves and mask, avoiding the crowd, sanitising our hands etc) for our safety as well as for the society.
Meanwhile, in India, the situation is getting worse day after day and the mortality rate is increasing every day. The virus came late in India and with 1.4 Billion population and lack of kits and equipment, it is really an impossible job to monitor the whole country. But the government is trying their best. Many private entities and NGOs also helping a lot and I hope we will get recovered soon!
Meanwhile, I am as usual enjoying my lazy days at home. The office is yet to open so I am doing work from home for my office and in the meantime, I am enjoying my golden days in Hive and Splinterlands. Not only playing Splinterlands, but also I am enjoying quality days in discord too. You can generally find me in The Neoxian Channel. Last week we also enjoyed voice hangout at @bdcommunity server. Also, some of my time also there to write and curate posts.
Speaking about posts, that reminds me of this week's @Splinterlands challenge post on the GLORIDAX SOLDIER! If you are a Splinterlands player, it's obvious that you know about this challenge post where they give one theme every week and we write a quality post on it and get awesome votes by team Splinterlands. This week, the theme is to write an awesome article on the new dragon Reward card `GLORIDAX SOLDIER`! So let's take a deep dive into Splinterlands and meet with our challenger, The master of Winds, Lord GLORIDAX SOLDIER!
Gloridax Soldiers are foot soldiers of Splinterlands. Heavily specialized with weaponry and melee attacks, they always fight in the front ground. Dressed in custom armours, some of them can even fly while battling and evade deadly attacks from enemies. Just think what will happen to those with no attacks as they become more fierce when seeing a tank monster.
- `Level 1` - In its initial level, it carries 1 melee attack with 1 Armor, 4 health and 2 speed. It brings decent attack power with it and also Flying and Shield ability.
- `Level 4` - At level 4, it carries 2 melee attack at 2 speed, 1 armour and 5 health. It become a decent tank card for this big health bar.
- `Level 10` - At max level, It possesses 3 melee attack with 3 armour, 8 health at 3 speed. This card also holds gets Suppress ability from level 5 which helps him doing double damage on enemies with no attack.
#### `Flying`
With this ability, the monster will get fewer hits from melee and ranged non-flying enemies.

#### `Shield`
With this ability, the monster will get less damage from melee and ranged enemy monsters.
#### `Oppress`
With this ability, the monster will do double damage to the no-attack enemy monsters. So for those who specially are overusing Lord and Gelatinous Cube or maybe even PEaceful Giant, Beware!
## <center>`Current Market Status`</center>
So, as this is a reward edition card, the price is a bit low for a reward card. The first one is a single bcx card and listed for 0.079$ and there are also some multi bcx cards among which I bought the 40 and the 3 bcx one to make my soldier level 6. Its indeed a good card for mid-range matches and I ll buy until it becomes max.

- *`Ruleset`* So, It was an *`Equalizer`* ( the health of every monster increases equal to the monster in the battlefield having the most base health ) + *`Reverse`* ( Lowest speed monster will attack first and has a high chance of evading hits). It's a big mana match and I shall go for a Daria deck full of big melee monsters including my Tortisian Fighter of course.
- *`Mana count`* This match holds a decent mana cap!
- *`Summoners`* This battle supports Fire, Earth, Death and Dragon summoners.
At this much mana cap, I am pretty confidence as I can make a cool deck with 12 mana when there is an equalizer match. As I am going to use Selenia, I will get access to those Dragon Melee monsters too which is a big plus point as it opens way more options to choose from.

### **`GLORIDAX SOLDIER`**
I chose GLORIDAX SOLDIER in the first place because of it's Flying and Shield ability. I have a level 6 and it has 2 melee attack at 3 speed, 3 armour and 7 health. It also possesses 3 abilities as stated below.
- `Flying` - With this ability, the monster will get fewer hits from melee and ranged non-flying enemies.
- `Shield` - take reduced damage from all melee and ranged attacks.
- `Oppress` - The monster will do double damage to the no-attack enemy monsters. So for those who especially are overusing Lord and Gelatinous Cube or maybe even PEaceful Giant, Beware!
### **`FURIOUS CHICKEN`**
I chose FURIOUS CHICKEN in the second place because of its 0 mana cost. As of this equalizer ruleset, it will get more health possibly, giving me an extra tank for free. Its level and has no abilities.
### **`GOBLIN CHEF`**
I chose the GOBLIN CHEF in the second third place because of its Affliction ability. At level 7, it provides 1 range attack, 3 speed and 6 health.
- `Affliction` - Has a chance of applying Affliction on enemy, causing it unable to get healed.
### **`SWAMP THING`**
I chose the SWAMP THING in the fourth third place because of its 2 mana cost with a lot of advantages. At level 5, it gives me 2 range attack, 1 speed and 5 health. It also posses 2 abilities as below.
- `Weaken` - Reduces the health of every enemy monster.
- `Slow` - Reduces the speed of every enemy monster.
### **`HIGHLAND ARCHER`**
I chose the HIGHLAND ARCHER in the fifth third place because of its 3 mana cost. At level 8, it gives me 2 range attack, 4 speed and 5 health.
### **`EARTH ELEMENTAL`**
I chose the EARTH ELEMENTAL at the last place because of its healing ability at 3 mana cost. At level 7, it gives me 3 range attack, 2 speed and 7 health. It also posses 1 ability as below.
- `Heal` - When damaged, can Heal a portion of the health at every round.

Well, the match was simply awesome and my Glaridax Soldier has taken good care of me in the battleground. The opponent also used all max cards on me as you can see from the screenshot above. But I was lucky that I won this one.

First, let us follow the opponent's line-up...
- My opponent @splinterembassy used Dragon summoner Selenia against me.
- At the front position, he used Chain Golem lev 4. He chose a big defence to his front and I just hope I get able to kill this huge beast with Lil ones.
- At the second position, he used Horny Toad level 10.
- At the third position, he puts Darkest Mage lev 6.
- At the fourth position, he chose Maggots lev 10 which will launch devastating Opportunity attacks on me.
For me, It was quite an unpredictable match after seeing the opponent line-up but at last, I was able to win this one. First of all my opponent has used all max on me But, he chose fewer number of monsters than me, which is a plus point to me, as it is an equalizer match. His front was good but I had two cards for my front defence.
At back my archers got +1 range for using the Selenia which also gave me a lot of firepower on the enemy.
My Glaaridax Soldier stand for first 2 rounds and helps my archers to kill down the Golem. The rest cards were easier to kill as I had all 4 archers alive when the chain golem died.
When my furious chicken does, the opponent had only the maggot alive, which got down easily with mt 3 remaining active archers.
I always love playing equalizer matches because in here the results can become out the box. I mostly try to use all 6 places in this type of matches to make large mana defence strategy. Bt that does not work always. It really depends upon the situation and I could lose if my opponent had used magic on me. These matches can be more unpredictable than you generally thought.
So, I am glad about choosing the Gloridax fighter and it really is a great choice as a melee companion. You just have to make a good strategy to utilize its powers, especially with the flying with shield ability which can evade and bear multiple enemy attacks.
