### What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!







I hope you all are celebrating the weekend and enjoying an amazing day with your loved ones. Well, the time is hard for those who sl because the current ranked season is about to end in the next 18 hours. So, all the bat to you all and I hope all of you are effectively using this time to play hard to achieve your season goals before the time runs out. For me, I am as usual playing the ranked season in the Diamond League and currently trying to reach the top 3 positions but I am the previous ones, I am actually feeling a hard time competing with the top players in this ongoing season and as of now, I am at 19th position in the leaderboard with a total trophy count of 3,944. To be honest, I am trying my best and even rented in 2 max legendary OP summoners that I am missing in my collection - Byzantine Kitty and Lir Deepswimmer, but while winning a match is getting me only 3 - 5 trophies, losing even one is taking away -22 to -35 trophies in 1 blow and costing my rank to decrease by 10 or even more per loss! So, this season I just need to play with a calm mind and at this point, I am even considering renting some more cards for this last day, if they can fetch me a good position among the top 3 in Diamond League.

### `Brawl Talk`


Now, moving into our brawl section, as a Neoxian Guild we just finished playing another brawl and this time, we secured the second place in the brawl leaderboard thanks to Neoxian, Xawi and all my fellow guild warriors who played their matches really well and helped the guild to secure a good place. Sadly, this time one of our guild members couldn’t submit his battles within time which cost us the first rank this time, but it was just a bad day for us and this is not the last brawl that we are playing. So, while keeping a hopeful emotion, let us wait and play another brawl and try to beat it again. As for rewards, the guild got 184 crowns this time and each participating member who submitted all of their fray matches got rewarded with 169.051 staked SPS and 10,514 merits. Such a wonderful prize have changed our mind and made us happy and joyful with the rewards which we got today.

I personally think and also suggest all my fellow Splinterlands players who read my blogs or talk with me to participate and start playing brawls and tournaments as soon as possible if they are already in the game playing or even investing. Because as time goes on and you also grow in terms of both your card collection and playing experience, you will start earning way more rewards with the same card collection that you possess, rather than only renting them out or just playing for the ranked version. Both tournaments and brawls have a better reward structure than ranked and you all know how decent are the SPS or other rewards that we get from reward chests nowadays. So, in order to unlock the full potential of your card collection, you must need to play and become a pro all types of different gameplay styles in Splinterlands.

Now moving on, after I watched the brawl reward getting added and claimed today’s SPS rewards, I thought to Go and check out my current merit balance because I have been saving for quite a while and haven't opened any Gladius packs. Uea, I do have a decent collection of Gold cards too, but most of my cards are at the silver entry tier level whereas if you see the new soul-bound reward cards in my collection, I have made them upgraded to Gold tier already. So, today I decided to look upon my gladiator collection too. So, as thought I immediately went to the Brawl shop page and find out that I have already saved a whooping 57,511 merits in my account. The amount was large for me and I could buy and open 28 Gladius packs right them which I did exactly and opened them all at once below is the outcome of what I received from those bunch of packs!

As you can see, I got 2 gold foil commons, 6 epics and the rest all regular foil rare and common cards. Well, to be honest, I am happy with the outcome this time. I know I have dead luck with getting legendaries but a bunch of epic cards soothe away that pain for me this time and I also got 2 gold foil cards after a while, which worked as an ointment on my scars.

The best card that I got from today’s pull would be obviously the xx card. It is a melee-type attacking card that belongs to the life Splinter and I really love it for its unmatchable melee Raw attack power that comes with a solid protection of armor + health combo and it also possesses high speed from its initial level. I really like to use this card in high mana matches when formatting a melee-friendly lineup and it always brings me one or even multiple kills if you can unlock its bloodlust ability. It also possesses a total of 4 abilities at its max level - Reach, Bloodlust, Inspire and Trample at its max level and I can not even imagine what this card would turn into when someone unlocks its trample ability by upgrading it to max level in the near future!
