I hope you are having a beautiful day and also enjoying the game at its best. The long awaited General sale of splinterlands chaos legion has started recently. So those who were waiting eagerly can buy their chaos packs now From the official Splinterlands Shop tab. Already 6 million + chaos packs has been sold and less than 9 million packs left for the whole chaos legion series to end. But for me, I have already bought a max level full chaos collection And took a big loan for it. so after paying the loan, I will try To buy At least 500 or 1000 packs And then hold Them for long time as a collector.

Sadly, the Splinterlands token market has been affected badly due to the last bitcoin crash. The Main in-game token DEC is being traded at hive-engine market for $0.00389 per unit while SPS is continuing the downtrend and currently priced at $0.148 per unit. Vouchers however is stable With it’s price (currently 2.841$) because in order to get the bonus packs, you have to provide equal number of vouchers in the general sale.

The splinterlands Team’s next focus Will be into the wild/modern rank format and also the SPS validated note update as the current general sale has running fluently without any issues so far. I am very hopeful with the Upcoming validator node update And hope it will help the price of SPS to rise back again. But looks like we have to wait some more weeks to see that.

In Splinterlands, we have a handful of abilities that helps you defend your lineup And backfire is one of the latest addition to that group. With is backfire ability, if an enemy misses a monster with backfire ability when attacking, the attacker takes back two damage. So, now we can damage our enemy cards even without attacking them - thanks to the new backfire ability. We already got introduced with the backfire ability with the newest addition reward cards and then in chaos as well, several monsters with bqckfire ability got introduced. today, I will showcase my top three picks among them and also inspect them in detail to find out what is best in them.

### `VENARI KNIFER`

The first monster that I will be showcasing here is Venari Knifer. Knifer is one of the most deadly rogue assassins of splinterlands And they often work as a part of criminal organisations or guilds, taking contracts to earn more gold into their pockets. Knifer is a common type card and it belongs to the earth unit. it costs six mana to use in the battlefield and its attack type is Melee. Let us now take a closer look at its stats to find out more about this monster.



 At initial level, it Possesses two Melee attack at four speed with seven health along with thorns ability. Even at level one, it’s High Melee attack + health Will be very useful to use this monster as a front defender while it’s Thorns ability Will damage back those melee attackers.





At level three, it’s Melee power gets increased to 3 and the speed Gets increased to 5 while the Health gets decreased to 6. so, you are basically getting a high speed attacker even at bronze level.





At level six, this card gets 3 melee attack at five speed with seven health and also acquire another ability - backfire. With the help of backfire, it will damage back attackers who misses their attacks upon it. Having both the thorns and backfire ability even at level six will make it very effective in gold tiers and above.







At max level, it possesses 4 melee attack at six speed with nine health along with those two abilities that I mentioned above. at max level, this monster is surely overpowered because of having 6 speed, many enemy monsters will miss their melee and range attacks upon it And thus get damaged back with the help of the backfire ability.







This Knifer Can be your best friend as a front defender and If you add some monsters with slow or sweet ability the sniper will be harder to target upon. I will use this monster more when there are no magic monsters allowed because this one can be a death dealer against Melee and range monsters.


### `FLYING SQUID`

The next monster that I’ll be talking about is flying squid. Is it possible for squids to actually fly? I don’t know about others but the squid can launch themselves from the water and glyde above the surface for long distance before going back. They are well known as aggressive predators who shoot ink into the eyes of their prey to blind them before attacking with its tentacles. 





Flying squid is a common type card and it belongs to the water unit. it costs seven Mana to use in the battle ground and its attack type is Melee. Let us now take a deep dive into the ocean to find out more about it.



At initial level, this card possesses 2 melee attack at three speed with eight health along with reach ability. because of having the reach ability, you can easily use these Melee attacker at the second position of your lineup while making the first Place secured with a defensive card. Even at level one, its two Melee attack along with a large Health Can be very Beneficial. 





At level three, this card gets 3 melee attack at three speed with eight health and Becomes a worthy monster to use in bronze levels. 



At level six, this card gets 3 melee attack at four speed with eight health and also acquire another ability Blind. With the help of blind ability, all the enemy Melee and range attacks have an increased chance of missing their attacks. This ability effects All the enemy Melee  and range monsters so if you use it wisely you can evade multiple attacks with the help of Blind ability.



At max level, this card possesses 3 melee attack at five speed with 10 health and also gets another ability  - backfire. At max level, this card can do exceptionally well with the help of both blind + backfire ability. While the enemy monsters will miss more attacks upon you thanks to the blind ability, Every time they misses their attack upon the flying squid, it will damage them back with to attack with the help of the backfire ability.

### `TENYII STRIKER`

The last monster that I’ll be talking is not other than the Tenyii striker. This sneaky ninja from the Tenyii clan Have no mercy against its enemies and throu years of hard training, they have made the beat ninjas of themselves. 





Tenyii Striker is a rare type card and it belongs to the fire unit. it costs five Mana to use in the battlefield and its attack type is Melee. let us now take a deep Dive and find out more about this card below.



At initial level, this card possesses two Melee attack at two speed with six health along with the snake ability. even at level one, it’s high health will help him stay alive for longer while attacking the rear position of the enemy’s lineup.





At level four, this card gets 3 melee attack at three speed with six health and also gets another ability Dodge. Because of the dodge ability, this card has an increased chance of evading Melee or range attacks. so if you place it wisely you can is it multiple range or Melee attacks with the help of dodge ability.





At level 6, this card gates four Melee attack at three speed with seven health along with those two abilities. Because of its increase the overall is that this card can be a very good choice in gold tier matches.







At level eight, this card gets five Melee attack at four speed with seven health and also gets another ability backfire. At the max level, it already becomes harder to target upon due to its decent four speed and the dodge ability. On top of that, every time a melee or ranged monster misses their attacks upon it, they get two damage back thanks to it’s backfire ability. So I am already getting a feeling that this monster even without attacking can damage several monsters in the battle if you play is it rightly respecting the ruleset and position.
