Good morning my productive people, welcome once again to my art blog, today I want to share with you a new participation for the #Splinterlands drawing contest; the card I chose for today is a very interesting one and it is the Fire Elemental. Basically the character of this card is a kind of energy or magical power which is able to be invoked, and to assume a specific form; in this case and for the creation of my fan-art I gave it a very humanized form and covered by huge intense flames:
>*Buen día mi gente productiva, sean bienvenidos una vez mas a mi blog de arte, hoy les quiero compartir una nueva participación para el concurso de dibujo de #Splinterlands; la carta que elegí para hoy es una muy interesante y se trata del Fire Elemental. Básicamente el personaje de esta carta se trata de una especie de energía o poder mágico el cual es capas de ser invocado, y de asumir una forma específica; en este caso y para la creación de mi fan-art le di una forma bastante humanizada y cubierta por enormes flamas intensas:*

For the basic form of the sketch of my work I decided to look for a pose in quite special, and finally I chose to create Fire Elemental in a plane like half side; with his right hand a little raised while he stares with his gaze as if something was about to emerge from his palm. The colors I chose for the painting of the skin of this character were quite light tones, this because later I would paint the fire element, and these light colors would fit much better; for the volume and texture of the skin I followed the same process and only applied some bright tones.
>*Para La forma básica del boceto de mi obra decidí buscar una pose en bastante especial, y finalmente opté por crear a Fire Elemental en un plano como de medio lado; con su mano derecha un poco levantada mientras contempla fijamente con su mirada como si algo estuviera a punto de emerger de su palma. Los colores que elegí para el pintado de la piel de este personaje fueron tonos bastante claros, esto debido a que luego pintaría el elemento fuego, y estos colores claros se acoplarían mucho mejor; para el volumen y la textura de la piel seguí el mismo proceso y solo aplique algunos tonos brillantes.*

The next step of my work was the creation of the details of expression in the face, the lips and especially the eyes which would transmit the flaming personality of this character; for the base of the lips I used a medium orange. Then for the base of the eyeball I used an extremely intense and dark orange, and on this I began to apply yellow tones in varying intensities to build a much more detailed iris of the eye; I did almost the same with the lips and for the end I only added some blurred lines.
>*El siguiente paso de mi obra fue el de la creación de los detalles de expresión en el rostro, los labios y en especial los ojos los cuales trasmitirían la personalidad flameante de este personaje; para la base de los labios use un naranja medio. Luego para la base del globo ocular use un naranja sumamente intenso y oscuro, y sobre esto comencé a aplicar tonos amarillos en variación de intensidades para ir construyendo un iris del ojo mucho mas detallado; hice casi lo mismo con los labios y ya para el final solo agregue algunas líneas con difuminado.*

For the outfit I stuck a bit to the one seen on the card, but I wanted to be a bit more detailed and so I decided to create a kind of Japanese style suit, with a somewhat high collar; then I applied a much darker shade of red on top of that to give it the appearance of a 2-part suit. I continued little by little establishing a couple of mixed textures to try to achieve a special look, and above all very detailed.
>*Para la vestimenta me apegue un poco a la que se veía en la carta, pero quise ser un poco más detallista y por ello decidí crear una especie de traje al estilo japones, con un cuello algo alto; luego sobre esto aplique un tono rojo mucho mas oscuro para darle la apariencia de que es un traje de 2 partes. Continue poco a poco estableciendo un par de texturas mezcladas para trata de lograr una apariencia especial, y sobre todo muy detallada.*

Finishing with the Fire Elemental outfit, the next step in the painting process was the creation of the hair, in this case the Fire Elemental character has a hair in the form of large flames which cover all his hair like a fire; then in this step I only dedicated myself to create a somewhat solid base in orange tones. Then I added some small lines with basic blurring; this to then in the final part give the shiny details of the fire.
>*Terminando con la vestimenta de Fire Elemental, el siguiente paso en el proceso de pintado fue el de la creación del pelo, en este caso del personaje de Fire Elemental tiene un cabello en forma de grandes flamas las cuales cubren todo su cabello como una fogata; entonces en este paso solo me dedique a crear una base algo solida en tonos naranjas. Luego agregue algunas pequeñas líneas con difuminado básico; esto para luego en la parte final darle los detalles brillantes del fuego.*

Finally I created some texture in the background to accompany the character of my drawing, I used a couple of brushes with sharp and irregular edges, which I then blurred slightly to see how they looked; then I added a couple of effects of (Gradation) to give it a little more shape like mist or orange and red smoke. Finally the only thing left to do was to light the flames of the character, for this I used several layer modes like (Shine and Bright) to give the most appearance of fire possible; I did this in the hair and also in the hand, where I wanted to create a flame which sprouts from the palm of the hand of the character.
>*Finalmente cree un poco de textura en el fondo para que acompañaran al personaje de mi dibujo, use un par de pinceles de punta y bordes irregulares, los cuales luego difumine ligeramente para ver que tal quedaban; después añadí un par de efectos de (Gradation) para darle un poco mas de forma como de neblina o humo naranja y rojo. Ya por último lo único que me quedaba por hacer era encender las flamas del personaje, para esto usé varios modos de capa como (Shine y Bright) para dar la mayor apariencia de fuego posible; hice esto en el pelo y también en la mano, donde quise crear una llamarada la cual brota de la palma de la mano del personaje.*
