## **Approval**</center>

#

Approval refers to approving or validating something or someone. It also consists of showing agreement with an opinion or a proposal.

Feeling approved and accepted by others is a human need, totally natural and necessary for our survival, however, this can become problematic when our self-esteem depends on this external acceptance.

This obsessive need to seek approval from others is often rooted in fear of rejection and unpleasant childhood experiences, which can lead to a lack of authenticity, insecurity and an over-dependence on the opinions of others to feel valued, so our main source of approval must come from ourselves.

This pair of photos taken recently, correspond to one of the security guards who work for the condominium where I live, who kindly lent himself to serve as a model for this brief and improvised photo shoot.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.</div>

## **Aprobación**</center>

La aprobación se refiere a dar por bueno o válido, algo o a alguien. También consiste en mostrar acuerdo, estar conforme o coincidir con una opinión o una propuesta.

Sentirse aprobado y aceptado por las demás personas es una necesidad humana, totalmente natural y necesaria para nuestra supervivencia, sin embargo, esto puede volverse problemático cuando nuestra autoestima depende de esta aceptación externa. 

Esta necesidad obsesiva de buscar la aprobación en otros, a menudo está arraigada en el miedo al rechazo y en experiencias infantiles poco gratas, lo cual puede llevarnos a la falta de autenticidad, inseguridad y a una dependencia excesiva de las opiniones ajenas para sentirnos valorados, por lo que nuestra principal fuente de aprobación debe provenir de nosotros mismos. 

Este par de fotos tomadas recientemente, corresponden a uno de los vigilantes que trabajan para el condominio donde resido, quien amablemente se prestó para servirme como modelo para esta breve e improvisada sesión fotográfica.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.</div>
