***Markings*** :  Olive-Brown above; whitish breast with dark streaks; golden crown bordered with black stripes; white eye ring.
***Habitat*** :  Summer - on or near ground in leafy woods; migration - among thickets and shrubs in parks and yards.
***Seasons*** : Spring, summer, fall generally, except in Deep South, where mainly fall, winter and spring.
***Range*** :  Breeds from Canada to s. U.S., but not south of n. portions, from Carolinas west to Arkansas; winters along Gulf and Atlantic Coasts from s.e. Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
***Note*** : This ground warbler is thrushlike in appearance.
