Amigos de Hive, realmente no sé qué decirles, dónde comenzar o donde parar. Pero sin duda alguna esta película marcó mi vida. Solo la vi una vez, aunque fue por razones ajenas a mi voluntad. He deseado volverla a ver y no he podido pero las imágenes de ella quedan frescas y a todo color en mi mente, pero también en mi corazón.

Esta película me dejó un montón de preguntas de esas ¿qué tal si..?, sabes. Por ejemplo cuando nos cuestionamos todo y pensamos que si algo hubiese sido diferente, si se hubiese hecho o dicho algo más, el resultado hubiese sido distinto. Bueno eso me pasó con ***Yo antes de tí***.

Un día fuimos en familia a comprar películas, normalmente a mi me gustan las románticas y las cómicas. Pero no recuerdo si logre escoger alguna o no. Pero estando ya en casa mi esposo saca esta película, la cual no había visto y me sorprendió que la hubiese escogido él. 

Les cuento que yo soy del tipo de persona que en las películas llora a más no poder, bien sea por lo que pasa, por lo que creo que va a pasar o aun después de finalizar por lo que creo que pudiese ocurrir al final aunque no se hubiese contado. Pues sí, esa soy yo. Pero ya basta de hablar de mí, así que les voy contar de esta película.

*Yo Antes de ti*, es la adaptación cinematográfica de la novela de Jojo Moyes, del mismo nombre. Fue producida por la Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) en el año 2016, con una duración de 110 minutos. Sin duda alguna es una historia de romance y drama que trata temas de la vida de adultos jóvenes y de cómo situaciones repentinas cambian el rumbo y el destino de ellas.

La trama de esta película, cuenta la historia de Will Traynor un  rico y codiciado banquero joven que sufre un accidente y queda paralítico y como la joven Luisa Clark puede ayudarle a cambiar su actitud ante sus actuales condiciones de vida. Una vez dado este abrebocas, te hablaré un poco más de los personajes.

## Personajes de Yo antes de ti

Los personajes principales en torno a los cuales se teje la historia son: Will Traynor y Luisa Clark, pero es necesario hablarte un poco de otros que hacen posible que la historia siga el rumbo que tiene.

**William (Will) Traynor ([*Sam Claflin*](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Claflin))**: Es un joven muy apuesto, inteligente y adinerado, pero que quedó tetrapléjico al ser atropellado por una motocicleta. Antes de ese accidente Will era un deportista intrépido que solía realizar deportes extremos y estar muy activo. Además tenía una hermosa novia con la cual tenía planes de casarse. Sin embargo después del accidente y del obvio cambio de su estilo de vida, Will renunció a todo y trató de alejar a quienes intentaron apoyarlo en tan crudos momentos de su vida. Su actitud ante la vida definitivamente cambió y lo que deseaba era morir. Por eso había intentado el suicidio pero por las extremas limitaciones de movimiento no fue exitoso.

**Luisa Clark ([*Emilia Clarke*](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emilia_Clarke))**: Ella es todo un personaje, muy fuera de lo común. Es una joven extrovertida, con una característica forma de vestir poco convencional, pero que a su vez tiene muchos problemas para mantener un empleo. Pero por cuestiones de la vida, fue la persona ideal  para encargarse de atender al joven Will Traynor. Luisa tiene una chispeante personalidad y un increíble sentido del humor y es contratada por la madre de Will quien intenta hacer que su hijo cambiará de opinión y el deseo de quitarse la vida.

**Camila Traynor ([*Janet McTeer*](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_McTeer))**: Es la madre de Will y también tiene otra hija, Georgina. Ella es quien contrata a Luisa después de una accidentada entrevista. Ella estaba intentando que su hijo pudiera encontrar nuevamente el deseo de vivir a pesar de sus circunstancias. Ella le había pedido al menos 6 meses para intentar hacerlo, con la condición de que si en ese tiempo no lo lograba respetaría y cumpliría su deseo de viajar a otro país donde la eutanasia fuera legal, y finalmente acabar con su vida.

**Patrick ([*Matthew Lewis*](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Lewis_(actor)))**: Es el novio de Luisa, un personaje totalmente diferente a ella. Él es atlético pero sin duda ama a Luisa y se esfuerza por pasar tiempo con ella.

**Nathan ([*Steve Peacocke*](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Peacocke))**: El es el enfermero de Will Traynor, un personaje bastante fresco y dado a apoyar a Luisa en sus ocurrencias para mejorar el estado de ánimo de Will. 

## Temas importantes que trata Yo antes de ti

Esta película trata temas de la vida como por ejemplo, como de la noche a la mañana una vida de éxito y productiva puede cambiar de forma tan radical, hasta dejar a una persona activa postrada en una cama y dependiendo de otros. Esto es algo que realmente puede pasar a cualquiera. Pero la cuestión está en lo que estaremos dispuestos a hacer cuando haya un cambio de circunstancias. Generalmente estamos rodeados de personas que nos aman, así que no solo cambian nuestras circunstancias sino las de ellos, además las decisiones que tomen también les afecta.

Además, incluye el tema de la eutanasia y como se ha luchado por el derecho que tienen las personas de decidir sobre su vida, y en este caso incluso sobre su muerte. En algunos países del mundo es legal tener una muerte asistida, pero en otros no. ¿Qué opinas tú de ello?, ¿lo harías o ayudarás a un ser amado a que la practicara?

Por otro lado trata el tema del amor, como no importa la vitalidad, lo que puedes hacer en acciones, sino hay mucho más. Como el amor no surge de la lástima sino de conocer las cualidades de una persona a pesar de su entorno y de las circunstancias que lo rodean. Incluso, como el amor mueve montañas y hace que las personas estén dispuestas a hacer cosas increíbles por otros. Pero, qué amor es más grande ¿el amor a uno mismo o el amor a otra persona?, ¿qué estarías tú dispuesto a hacer por amor?, ¿solo amas a alguien por lo que esa persona puede darte?

Son muchas las reflexiones que he tenido con respecto a esta película y mi propia vida, pero no quiero contarte más porque necesito que la veas y me cuentes qué te ha parecido. No he podido volverla a ver porque la preste a uno de mis hermanos y él la extravío, lo peor es que nunca la vio. Luego cuando tuve Netflix por primera vez vi que estaba allí, y quise prepararme emocional y mentalmente para volver a verla y luego ya no estaba 😭.

Luego de verla me puse a buscar y encontré la segunda parte de esta novela de Jojo Moyes (*Después de ti*), y comencé a leerla, pero ya no era lo mismo, y luego perdí el interés.

Hive friends, I really don't know what to tell you, where to start or where to stop. But without a doubt this movie marked my life. I only saw it once, although it was for reasons beyond my control. I have wished to see it again and I have not been able to but the images of it remain fresh and in full color in my mind, but also in my heart.

This movie left me with a lot of what-if questions, you know. For example when we question everything and think that if something had been different, if something else had been done or said, the result would have been different. Well that happened to me with ***I before you***.

One day we went as a family to buy movies, normally I like romantic and comic movies. But I don't remember if I managed to choose one or not. But when we were already at home my husband brought out this movie, which I had not seen and I was surprised that he had chosen it. 

I'm the kind of person who cries my eyes out at movies, either because of what happens, what I think is going to happen or even after the movie is over because of what I think might happen at the end even if it wasn't told. Yes, that's me. But enough about me, so I'm going to tell you about this movie.

She is an extroverted young woman, with a characteristic unconventional way of dressing, but who at the same time has a lot of trouble keeping a job. But as life would have it, she was the ideal person to take care of young Will Traynor. Luisa has a sparkling personality and an incredible sense of humor and is hired by Will's mother who is trying to change her son's mind and desire to take his own life.

She is the one who hires Luisa after an accidental interview. She was trying to help her son find the will to live again despite his circumstances. She had asked him for at least 6 months to try to do so, with the condition that if in that time he did not succeed she would respect and fulfill his wish to travel to another country where euthanasia was legal, and finally end his life.

**Patrick ([*Matthew Lewis*](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Lewis_(actor)))**: He is Luisa's boyfriend, a character totally different from her. He is athletic but undoubtedly loves Luisa and goes out of his way to spend time with her.

## Important themes that I Before You deals with.

This film deals with life issues such as how overnight a successful and productive life can change so radically, even leaving an active person bedridden and dependent on others. This is something that can really happen to anyone. But the question is what we will be willing to do when there is a change in circumstances. We are generally surrounded by people who love us, so not only do our circumstances change, but their circumstances change, and the decisions they make affect them as well.

It also includes the issue of euthanasia and how the right of people to decide about their life, and in this case even about their death, has been fought for. In some countries of the world it is legal to have an assisted death, but in others it is not. What do you think about it, would you do it or would you help a loved one to practice it?

On the other hand, it deals with the subject of love, how vitality does not matter, what you can do in actions, but there is much more. How love does not come from pity but from knowing the qualities of a person despite their environment and the circumstances that surround them. Even, how love moves mountains and makes people willing to do incredible things for others. But which love is greater, love for oneself or love for another person, what would you be willing to do for love, do you only love someone for what that person can give you?

There are many reflections I have had regarding this movie and my own life, but I don't want to tell you more because I need you to see it and tell me what you thought of it. I have not been able to watch it again because I lent it to one of my brothers and he misplaced it, the worst thing is that he never saw it. Then when I had Netflix for the first time I saw it was there, and I wanted to prepare myself emotionally and mentally to watch it again and then it was gone 😭.

After watching it I went looking and found the second part of this novel by Jojo Moyes (*After You*), and started reading it, but it wasn't the same anymore, and then I lost interest.
