       <td><center>Des milliers de kilomètres de migration, des semaines d'efforts, des risques pris pour échapper aux prédateurs, mais pourquoi ? Pour faire rapide, les baleines à bosse ont les mêmes besoins que tous les animaux, à savoir se nourrir et se reproduire. Faute de chance pour elles ces deux besoins ne peuvent se faire au même endroit. Afin de se nourrir, les baleines à bosse ont besoin d'une masse colossale de plancton. Cette réserve de nourriture se trouve aux pôles. Elles doivent donc y résider. Mais ce n'est pas tout... Afin de mettre à bas leur petit (!! 700kg à la naissance !!) elles doivent garantir à leur progéniture des conditions sécurisées en terme de température d'eau. Une eau trop froide serait fatale à leur nouveau né. Une eau plus chaude leur garantirait des premières semaines de vie confortable. Et l'eau chaude se trouve sous les tropiques. La migration entre ces deux zones vitales trouve ici son explication et la justification de ces milliers de kilomètres parcourues.</center></td>
       <td><center>Thousands of miles of migration, weeks of effort, risks taken to escape predators, but why? To be quick, humpback whales have the same needs as all animals, namely feeding and breeding. For their own lack of luck, these two needs cannot be met in the same place. Humpback whales need a colossal amount of plankton to feed. This food supply is located at the poles. They must reside there. But that’s not all... In order to put down their baby (!! 700kg at birth!!) they must guarantee their offspring safe conditions in terms of water temperature. Too cold water would be fatal to their newborn. A warmer water would guarantee them the first weeks of comfortable life. And the hot water is in the tropics. The migration between these two vital areas is explained and justified here by the thousands of kilometers travelled.</center> </td>
