Uno de mis juegos de mesa favoritos es el Poker, hace muchos años, un amigo que ya no es parte de este mundo, me enseñó en un par de minutos las reglas básicas, algo que aprendí rápidamente y que guardé en mis recuerdos para toda la vida, a decir verdad, tenía mucho tiempo que no disfrutaba de un juego que basa principalmente su atractivo en el tema de las apuestas, en aquellos días, los torneos de Poker Stars que pasaban por ESPN era de mis programas favoritos, justo ahora no recuerdo el nombre de quienes en su momento eran los reyes del juego a nivel mundial, pero me daba mucho gusto verlos y aprender de sus estilos y dinámicas de engaño, algo que por supuesto, ante una IA (inteligencia artificial) es bastante difícil de estimar. Buscando en la play store, me encontré con este clásico de clásicos, no podía hacerlo a un lado y decidí instalarlo en mi móvil, a continuación, les cuento un poco del título y de mis experiencias generales en este grandioso juego de mesa.

Me trajo mucha nostalgia ver este título en la play store, lo primero que se vino a mi mente, fue cuando lo conocí, indagando en webs como juegos.com, juegosjuegos, juegos10 y muchos otros portales que hoy siguen activos para mi sorpresa, puedo afirmar, que en Governor of Poker, fue uno de los principales juegos a los que más tiempo dediqué en mis idas a un cyber café, esto hasta conocer otros juegos como Rakion y Gundbound, disfrutaba mucho los juegos ejecutables gracias a Java, era parte de lo mejor en su momento para quienes no contábamos con equipos de alta gama, o simplemente desconocíamos el mundo de posibilidades que guardaba la web para nosotros.

La interfaz del juego, es exactamente la misma, eso sin duda es un impacto aún más grande para mi, en ese tiempo, mi conexión con el poker, era tan grande que no desperdiciaba cualquier oportunidad que me permitiese jugar con estas cartas, aunque siempre lo hice por diversión y sin intensiones de apostar, pues a mi corta edad, en lo único que pensaba, era en divertirme.

Una de mis peores pesadillas en este juego, es la zona de las minas, un lugar al que tardaremos en llegar, pues debemos antes conquistar varios pueblos, pero ¿por qué digo que la zona de las minas es una pesadilla para mi?, el problema principal, está en que cuando llegas a ese lugar, todo lo "gratuito" se termina, pues ahora deberás pagar un total de 4.97$ para continuar disfrutando del juego, en aquella primera vez que me pasó, no tuve más opción que dejar a un lado el juego y seguir conociendo otros títulos, hoy en día, me gustaría ver que hay más allá de lo que nunca pude explorar, quizás cumpla un anhelo que en mi adolescencia no pude.

Quizás en este punto, puedan comprender un poco la emotividad que me genera este juego, en su momento, ya logré completar "Halo" en su primera versión, un deseo pendiente que también había dejado en mi adolescencia, quizás deba involucrar mucho tiempo, el juego no esté tan optimizado para móviles y me termine llevando un mal rato, pero justo a eso quiero llegar, para decir que "al menos lo intenté".
