### <center>News out of the heart </center>

<div class="text-justify">Fern Owen was a writer who had never been successful in her profession. She worked at the local newspaper writing the "News of the Heart" column. She would tell love stories that came in the mail asking for dating tips, and she would respond with brilliant parables.

<br />She had a very reserved life. No one knew her boyfriends or lovers. Fern lived in a modest room in a house in the suburbs of the city. She had few friends at the newspaper and her conversations always revolved around her two dogs, Manchester and Floppy.

Every Friday afternoon after delivering her article for the weekend she would go to a pub to drink two beers. The barman at the pub knew that Heineken was her favorite beer, and he would put it on the bar right after she sat down.

Fern's life seemed monotonous and routine. But it wasn't. She had secret love with the sports reporter named Patrick. They were passionate encounters, somewhere between tenderness and madness.  Yet, Patrick did not want his love story with Fern to be known. That left her disconsolate, but it was the agreement from her first sheet meeting.

Patrick was a card game gambler. He lost a lot of money and said that one day he would become a millionaire. Just he had to wait for time to bring him luck.  

Fern had started writing another book on urban legends. She had already published two books, but they had very few sales. However, she continued to research and write.

The "News of the Heart" column attracted many customers and the newspaper's sales increased surprisingly. Journalists kept talking about the spinster who gave love tips. Fern didn't pay attention to the malicious comments but they hurt her.

Patrick who was in a bad patch stopped looking for Fern for three months. He disappeared from town, from the newspaper, and everyone. Fern was very distraught.   

During those months Fern went into a state of sadness but her column never stopped being well written. Contrary to Fern's disastrous love life, "Dr. Heart" united many couples with her advice.  The column continued to grow in success as Fern's life fell apart.

The demands of the letters were increasing and Fern had completely abandoned the book she had started. Suddenly, she began to feel happy with the new letters thanking her for her wise tips.


One Friday morning, sitting at her desk reading the fan mail in her column, she came across a letter signed by Patrick. It was an unexpected thank you.

She read many times the same final lines - "thanks for your advice and your love, I am happy with my wife Amelie. If it weren't for you I wouldn't be with her. Yours, Patrick".

Fern was paralyzed and surprised. She looked around for comfort or something similar. She put the paper on the desk, and finally started writing the weekend column.

The week is over and I have received all your love in hundreds of correspondence. I am satisfied to have reached your hearts and to bring happiness through my tips.

Happiness is just around the corner but many times we don't leave our homes and our routines. Love must be discovered every morning, in every word, and every act.

Love is found in the simplest details. After you discover it, you must feed it healthily so that it grows vigorous and safe.

Life in marriage is a lifelong learning experience. Everyone has their individuality and deserves their space. Their personalities can be the same or different, the important thing is that they respect and admire each other. The important thing is that they undertake projects that they can develop throughout their lives.

The differences will give them strengths and the similarities will make them invincible.

Enjoy the good times and don't let the disagreements last.

Love each other despite what they are.

Fern searched through her drawers and found Amelie's letter. She took it and tore it up just like Patrick's letter.  Then, she sent her short column to the editor. Also, she sent her letter of resignation. She stood up from her chair and with a big smile looked out the window because was ready to start a new chapter in her life. </div>
