<br><div class=text-justify> Blessed day for all Hivers friends who love reading like me, it is an honor for me to have the support of the wonderful Hive Book Club community, so today I want to share with you a very personal critical analysis of this fictional novel born from the pen of *Paulo Coelho*, which consists of 205 pages, written in 1997, I mean **Veronika decides to die**, the protagonist of this novel is Veronika, a beautiful young woman born in Slovenia, who is not there are no suitors, with an excellent job as a librarian, with the same dreams and illusions of any person. However, 24 years of his life have passed without great emotions, without great joys, without sadness, his life was practically based on monotony, since Verónika was not happy. Everything takes place in 7 days that will have no turning back.
<br> Thus, on the morning of November 11, 1997, he decided to end his life, for which he became intoxicated with an overdose of sleeping pills; She was convinced that she would die that way, so in her patient and silent waiting for death, she gets life, because when she loses consciousness, she is admitted to a sanatorium for the mentally ill, when she wakes up, she is surprised; You have no idea how long you were unconscious and you do not remember or understand anything. It is then that she asks the nurse who is next to her to give her a reasonable explanation and she immediately calls the doctor who is treating her. Igor is the one who informs Verónika that she is admitted to *Villete*, an asylum; It is there when after waking up and knowing the place where he was, he meets many people and begins to understand things that he had not even thought before. There she meets Zedka, Mari and Eduard, who by telling their stories made her reflect in an impressive way.

>Bendecido día para todos los Hivers amigos amantes de la lectura al igual que yo, es un honor para mi contar con el apoyo de la maravillosa comunidad Hive Book Club, por lo que hoy quiero compartirles un análisis crítico muy personal de esta novela de ficción nacida de la pluma de *Paulo Coelho*, la cual consta de 205 páginas, escrita en 1997, me refiero a **Veronika decide morir**, la protagonista de esta novela es Veronika, una hermosa joven nacida en Eslovenia, a quien no le faltan pretendientes, con un excelente trabajo como bibliotecaria, con los mismos sueños e ilusiones de cualquier persona. Sin embargo, han transcurrido 24 años de su vida sin mayores emociones, sin grandes alegrías, sin tristezas, su vida estaba basada prácticamente en la monotonía, pues Verónika no era feliz. Todo transcurre en 7 días que no tendrán vuelta atrás.

>Es así, que la mañana del 11 de noviembre de 1997 decide acabar con su vida, para lo cual se intoxica con una sobre dosis de pastillas para dormir; estaba convencida que así moriría, por lo que en su espera paciente y silenciosa de la muerte, consigue la vida, porque cuando pierde el conocimiento, es internada en un sanatorio para enfermos mentales, al despertar, se sorprende; no tiene ideas de cuánto tiempo estuvo inconsciente y no recuerda ni entiende nada; es entonces cuando le solicita a la enfermera que esta junto a ella que le de una explicación razonable y esta llama de inmediato al médico que la esta tratando, Igor es quien le informa a Verónika que esta internada en *Villete* un manicomio; es allí cuando después de despertar y conocer el sitio donde se encontraba, conoce a muchas personas y comienza a comprender cosas que antes no había ni siquiera pensado. Conoce allí a Zedka, a Mari y a Eduard, quienes al contarles sus historias la hicieron reflexionar de una manera impresionante.

New pleasures awaken in her and she begins to discover the true meaning of life, feelings that had been hidden; But now it is too late, repentance is not worth it, there is no time to go back, because it was a decision made; Now, he is at a crossroads where he experiences endless changes and emotions, ranging from wanting to die because his life has no meaning to keep trying because he knows that he will die.
This fictional novel that presents us with a different way of what suicide is and how to make drastic decisions in desperate moments, which can take away the tranquility and peace to continue fighting to live; I consider that it is a different way that the author uses to help the one who feels like Verónika who still does not find the true meaning of his life, it is important to emphasize that every second counts and **Life** is a wonderful gift that we God gives and only he has the right to take it from us. To those who read me, I can only say: *Let us value each sunrise, just for the fact of being alive*.

>Una vez que despertó, estuvo ahí muy poco tiempo, pero el suficiente para cambiar de manera radical su forma de pensar; tanto que se enamora perdidamente de Eduard, un joven esquizofrénico. A partir de allí, comienzan a aparecer muchos sueños y fantasías, deseos, muerte, locura y principalmente pasión; porque es cuando Verónika en ese intento fallido hacia la muerte, comienza a descubrir que cada segundo de la existencia humana es una nueva opción para seguir adelante, de no detenernos ni abandonar la lucha. Se despiertan en ella nuevos placeres y comienza a descubrir el verdadero sentido de la vida, sentimientos que habían estado ocultos; pero, ahora es demasiado tarde, no vale el arrepentimiento, ya no hay tiempo para retroceder, pues fue una decisión tomada; ahora, se encuentra en una encrucijada donde experimenta un sin fín de cambios y emociones, que van desde querer morir porque su vida no tiene sentido a seguir intentándolo porque sabe que morirá.

>Esta novela de ficción que nos presenta una forma diferente de lo que es el suicidio y de cómo tomar decisiones drásticas en momentos desesperados, los cuales pueden quitarnos la tranquilidad y la paz para continuar luchando por vivir; considero que es una forma diferente que el autor utiliza para ayudar al que se siente como Verónika que aún no encuentra el verdadero sentido de su vida, es importante resaltar, que cada segundo cuenta y la **Vida** es un maravilloso regalo que nos da Dios y solo él tiene derecho a quitárnoslo. A quienes me leen, sólo puedo decirles: *Valoremos cada amanecer, tan sólo por el hecho de estar vivos*. </div>
