Conquered by the Teutonic Knights, then destroyed by the Turks, and burnt, it has survived to our times. In 1918, Bran Castle was handed over to the Romanian crown. >Zdobyty przez Krzyżaków, potem zniszczony przez Turków, spalony dotrwał do naszych czasów. W 1918 roku zamek w Bran został przekazany rumuńskiej koronie.   Queen Maria decided to arrange a summer residence in it. The queen's every whim was done. An elevator was built in the former well, by which the guests of the royal couple descended 60 meters down to the garden. >Królowa Maria postanowiła urządzić sobie w nim rezydencję letnią. Wykonywano każdą zachciankę królowej. W dawnej studni wybudowano windę, którą goście pary królewskiej zjeżdżali 60 metrów w dół do ogrodu.   Unfortunately, the times of World War II came, and the castle was taken care of by specialists in destroying, plundering and disfiguring everything that could fall into their hands - the communists. When looking for traces of Dracula in Transylvania, at Bran Castle, we come across a little disappointment, because the real Dracula never lived here. He had never even been to Bran Castle. Only Legend has it that Count Dracula was imprisoned in the dungeons of the castle from which he escaped.
