<div class=text-justify> Eyy que tal, bienvenidos a mi blog, lleno de anécdotas, reflexiones, un toque de naturaleza y todo mi cariño al escribir. Una vieja amiga me contactó en estos días a través del facebook, me dió mucho gusto porque hacía muchos años que no sabía de ella, cuando estudiamos juntas teníamos alrededor de 21 años, ya rondamos los 49, ha pasado un buen tiempo, pero para nosotras es como si hubiera sido ayer.

La cuestión es que intercambiamos números para poder comunicarnos mejor, la verdad veo que ella se ha mantenido con los años, le encanta ir al gimnasio, es baja de estatura y siempre tiene apariencia juvenil, es una profesional excelente, muy dedicada a su trabajo; sin embargo sigue soltera y sin hijos. Cuando le presenté a mi esposo e hijos por video llamada se emocionó, luego de un rato le pregunté como es natural ya que estabamos en esa onda, por su pareja, si tenía hijos y resulta que no, su respuesta fue dada con mucha naturalidad.
Mientrás conversabamos expresaba que si, había tenido una pareja por mucho tiempo y un día simplemente terminaron (razones personales) y ella desde entonces habia estado soltera, me pareció extraño y le pregunté si aún lo amaba, me dijo que amaba los buenos momentos compartidos junto al hombre del que se había enamorado pero que se amaba más a ella misma y aunque tarde se dió cuenta, estaba feliz ahora y eso no tenía precio.

An old friend contacted me these days through facebook, I was very happy because I had not heard from her for many years, when we studied together we were around 21 years old, we are now around 49, it's been a while, but for us it's as if it was yesterday.</div>
>The thing is that we exchanged numbers to be able to communicate better, the truth is that she has kept up with the years, she loves going to the gym, she is short in height and always looks young, she is an excellent professional, very dedicated to her work; however she is still single and without children. When I introduced her to my husband and children via video call she got excited, after a while I asked her as is natural since we were on that wavelength, for her partner, if she had children and it turns out that she did not, her answer was given very naturally.
>As we talked she expressed that yes, she had had a partner for a long time and one day they simply broke up (personal reasons) and she had been single since then, I found it strange and asked her if she still loved him, she told me that she loved the good times shared with the man she had fallen in love with but that she loved herself more and although she realized it late, she was happy now and that was priceless.

Ahora era libre de ir a donde quisiera y con quien quisiera, estaba tomando clases de zumba, de pintura y le encantaba, tenía planificado viajar en estas vacaciones a visitar a su hermana en España y un montón de planes por delante. Me miró y me dijo: Sinceramente me hubiera encantado tener lo que tienes: Un matrimonio estable, los dos jubilados, el te ama sinceramente y tienen 2 hijos preciosos; sin embargo no estaba dado para mi pero no significa que sea el único camino para ser feliz.
Prosiguió diciendo que amaba también su soledad, esa que la invadía muchas veces pero no para abrumarla o sumirla en depresión, sino esa que la hacía sentir en paz consigo misma, que la hacía sentir plena.Aunque estas no fueron sus palabras textuales fue lo que me quiso decir y me alegró escucharlo y ver en su mirada esa tranquilidad de alguién que se siente bien consigo misma.
Esto me hizo reflexionar y pensar en familiares y otros amigos que han optado por permanecer solteros y sin hijos, siempre los veía como desafortunados porque para mi mis hijos han sido la dicha mas grande y tener una pareja con la cual compartir mis tristezas, alegrías, ha sido una bendición. Sin embargo también lo es para las personas que deciden estar sin pareja, no significa siempre que son desdichados al contrario muchos al optar por esta elección se sienten bien consigo mismos.
Muchas veces vamos por la vida dandole prioridad a los demás, viviendo para otros o la vida de otros y resulta que nos olvidamos de nosotros mismos, cuando debemos ser la prioridad. Tal vez por la influencia cultural, social, moda, en fin..hermoso cuando damos esos pasos necesarios, nos miramos al espejo y decidimos que somos importantes, que nos amamos y merecemos lo mejor. ¡Gracias por leer, hasta pronto!

>She went on to say that she also loved her solitude, the one that invaded her many times but not to overwhelm her or plunge her into depression, but the one that made her feel at peace with herself, that made her feel full, although these were not her exact words, it was what she wanted to tell me and I was happy to hear it and see in her eyes the tranquility of someone who feels good about herself.
>This made me reflect and think about relatives and other friends who have chosen to remain single and childless, I always saw them as unfortunate because for me my children have been the greatest joy and having a partner with whom to share my sadness, joys, has been a blessing. However, it is also a blessing for people who decide to be without a partner, it does not always mean that they are unhappy, on the contrary, many of them feel good about themselves when they make this choice.
>Many times we go through life giving priority to others, living for others or the lives of others and it turns out that we forget about ourselves, when we should be the priority. Maybe because of cultural influence, social, fashion, in short...beautiful when we take those necessary steps, we look in the mirror and decide that we are important, that we love ourselves and deserve the best.
