Hello, hello my hive friends, I hope you're all doing well and that you're having a great weekend. Today I'm joining the weekend challenge proposed by our friend @galenkp, [Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 261](https://hive.blog/hive-168869/@galenkp/weekend-engagement-topics-week-261). For this weekend, we have new topics. I'm left with the first question: ***What is your first childhood memory, and why has it stuck with you?*** I love time travel and remembering those moments that made my life happier, especially my childhood. I don't know if it was the first memory, but I do know that it's one of the things that's impossible to forget about my childhood, one of my best memories, when I saw snow. And today, for my post, I'm sharing this moment with you.</div>

When I was a child, we took a trip to a city called Merida, in Venezuela. It's located in the Andes mountain range. It's the only city in the country where you can see snow, especially in the mountains. It has a mountain called Pico Espejo. There's a time when it's covered in snow. There have also been snowfalls. You can only get there by cable car. The views are beautiful, and the cable car ride is a spectacle. I took this trip with my mother, my aunt, my older sister, and my cousin. We were all women, not afraid of anything, haha. We just wanted to enjoy these beautiful landscapes. Seeing the snow was a movie-like event for me, haha. I'd only seen snow in movies, and I dreamed of doing the same thing I saw in movies: making snowmen and snowballs. And on this trip, that dream came true. childhood.</div>

I remember I couldn't believe I was in the snow, but it was a surprise. I thought the snow was soft, haha, but it turned out it was ice, and the cold was terrible, haha. I couldn't stand it. Besides, I was very skinny. I had on like 4 jackets and a wool sweater, a hat, which also served to cover my face. I was able to play in the snow, but the cold was even stronger. Plus, there were parts where my cousin and I weren't allowed to go because we were so little. Despite the cold, I played until I got tired of the snow, haha. Honestly, it was one of the best trips for me and the best memory of my life. After spending a while in the snow, we went to get some hot chocolate. That was at the last stop of the cable car. The place where it stops is beautiful inside, like a cabin. Everything is made of wood. Well, that was many years ago. Now I don't know how it will be, it's one of the things I want to accomplish: to see the snow again, and for my little daughter to see it too.</div>
