He traído una rama,
que encontré en el suelo botada,
estaba sola, nada la sujetaba
y la puse en un vaso con agua,
para que retoñara
y así poder sembrarla.

De aquella rama salió una flor,
dorada como el sol,
al suelo se lanzó,
volteada cayó,
no podía levantarse de esa posición 
y una hoja a ayudar se acercó.

>I have brought a branch,
which I found lying on the ground,

La hoja la puso de pie
y la flor de inmediato se fue,
no agradeció, que engreída es,
siguió su camino, confiada es,
a las flores doradas les va bien
y nada malo pueden atraer.

La flor llegó hasta un desagüe,
quitó la tapa para ver el paisaje,
se atasco en el drenaje
y la hoja vino otra vez a ayudarle,
la sacó del hueco desagradable
y prometió llevarla donde las flores nacen.

La hoja y la flor comenzaron un viaje
y caminaron sin cansarse,
recorrieron pisos variables,
hasta que llegaron a un lugar grande,
un jardín de colores agradables 
y con flores doradas en todas partes.

La hoja a la flor en sus manos tomó 
y entre las otras flores la ubicó,
está segura, es un lugar mejor,
donde vivirá sin temor,
rodeada de pétalos del mismo color,
gracias a la hoja que siempre la cuidó.
