I am kept recalling the countless times  have struggled to let go of past hurts and resentments. It is a journey I'm still on and it is also one that I am not sure I will ever fully complete.

For me,forgiveness has been a process that needs time,effort and patience.I have not always found it easy,as one needs to heal to be able to move forward more easier and faster.
I remember the first time I realized the importance of forgiveness.I was in my early twenties and I had just gone through a very painful breakup.I was hurt,angry and resentful I dont know how to process my emotions.Sitting down,I felt sorry for myself,and after much thought and all,I really do have a choice to make,hold on to anger and stay grounded or choose to forgive and get up more stronger.










Sincerely,it wasn't easy and just so you know,it didn't happen overnight.Bu with time,slowly,changes became visible,I no longer hold on to the hurt,i started to see that my ex was human just like me, and that they had made mistakes just like I had,slowly but definitely I began to let go of my anger and resentment.







It has been a few years now since that breakup and I'm happy to say that I been able to forgive and move on,there are still times when I feel angry or resentful,but I have learned to handle them in a healthy way.








Forgiveness is indeed a  journey not a destination. It's something that takes time,effort and patience,but same way it's also has the power to transform lives.When we forgive,we heal,grow,we create space/room for love,compassion and understanding to flow into our lives.And we becomee stronger,wiser and better.








I learned that forgiveness is not just about the other person,it's about us.It's about our own healing and growth.When we forgive,wr are not excusing/justifying the hurtful behavior of others.We are just simply choosing/deciding to release the negative emotions associated with that behavior,so as to move forward with our lives.

I remember the many times I've struggled to let go of past hurts and resentment,also i remember the many times I've been able to forgive and the freedom and peace that have come as a result of the act of forgiveness.Forgiveness is a journey, not a destination.









Finding it hard to forgive and let go,take your time,don't push yourself,think it over,slowly but definitely,find a space In you to start letting go and embracing forgiveness.
You would definitely be at peace with yourself,and be more at ease,unforgiveness tends to bring upon us burdens....take your time to....... Forgive.
