Dear shepherd, how could it be so,
that thou promise a life and chateau,
just for my love so clear and plain,
as a child’s behind against a cane,

although it must be told and said,
that I have been terribly mislead,
for fair Matilda hath received,
that same letter last Saturday eve.
</center>

Dear Shepherd, or was it John,
I just barely remember you from the lawn,
could it really be that you think,
that I would work at your kitchen sink,

Your overconfidence makes me sick in disgust,
and really makes me want to bust,
your ugly face with an iron bar,
or maybe even with a car.
</center>
