We say stuff like, if I earn x amount then I'll be happy if I had taken that Job my miserable life would have been better. I should've studied y course and had a better chance at life.
All these narratives are what's playing in our heads neglecting what's right in front of us. Coke makes you see what's between your eyes and I won't recommend that.
#### But here's a Coke Narrative
I'm not sniffing coke, however have you seen the Coke dust flying around the corners of the world? - **more [money$](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-money) more happiness**. *That's the damn coke invented by aliens I guess*.
That's if they exist btw.
Every narratives out there about **money** kinda gives people a coke feeling and has one way or the other pushed people to a point that they find it hard to value anything else other than [money](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-money).
"I just want a little bit more of it then I'll be happier". You mean more coke? **No** dumbass, more **money**.

I know being penniless isn't a good feeling. we all need money to survive but most times we are not fully versed on why we need money in the first place.
We just desire the feeling of waking up to a million in our [bank](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bank) account or [wallet](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-wallet) Then boom - that's the Coke feeling type of narratives that is being passed around, this time for free. *Sniff all you want*
#### Health Is Wealth. Happiness is an Emotion
it's best to understand how $$$ affects our well-being.
I'm not a rich ass, and neither am I poor. *Don't even know what those mean but they are being passed around too - *get rich or die trying type of coke*
I guess you can live longer by not trying & just stay poor - who knows?
However, I try every possible best to survive every fu*kn day, stay hydrated ,eat well and workout. Even all this needs money just not the huge ones and but gives me that Coke feeling btw. This way I'm choosing my coke until I catch my last breathe, just as everybody would.
But here's the best part, we are kind of hanged on having enough supply of happiness always, everyone wants to be happy. Not being happy is now considered being sad. *Is that even true*?
The truth is emotions are just feedbacks for doing something that actually may or may not benefit you & people around.
Now back to reality...*Depends on what narratives are behind reality itself but we'll pass on that here's a little friendly chat...*
#### More Money is not More Happiness neither is less equals less happiness
Had a conversation with a dear friend and she made note that those who earn more money are happy.
I waited for a few minute and ask her what if those people start earning less today, maybe a 50% cut, what does that mean - is that a 50% cut in overall happiness?
She reasoned on for a bit...
This was her reply - if less, then things will be hard. Therefore making them feel sad.
I replied - things will be even harder if you can't change and adapt...that's how humans has survived all these years. However our narratives will determine how we adapt to situations like this, if it's some more coke sh*t then trust me it could lead to some existential crisis, depression and you know what few resort to at the end.
I know it's hard for most people out there but sometimes most often our beliefs & narratives about money only gives highs not happiness.
Imagine you have some huge amount of money reflecting in our bank account rn, immediately we feel as if we're fully fueled to get a new feeling of happiness, either by going on a shopping spree and buying sh*t tons of what we don't need or maybe buy some coke itself. It's all the same high, just that some are dangerous and obvious than others.
Every time the balance reduces, we imagine our happiness reduced with it too.
The world don't see money as just a means of exchange anymore, our well being is fully and emotionally attached to it, just like a coke addict. We fixate on the next $$$/coke supply to make us happy.

#### Societal Narratives
Most of these are society driven beliefs system that has worked in people's heads or maybe in the past as I don't see them helping anyone now.
But humans would still want to bit*h in that's how things are or works in the past, you hear a story of how Mr. X made more money now he's happy, driving his pink [lambo](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-lambo) with his beautiful wife right by his side and his kids flying first class for vacations, they are all happy they say, but some years goes by Mr. X is now divorced twice and having issues in his current marriage.
It may not play out the same for everyone but when we inculcate and adopt some societal narratives about money and life, that's not even our in the first place, it kind of backfires.
Some don't have a house to live in and are fu*king happy or maybe they are retards, but what about people living in a mansion still sad and depressed. Complaining about how he/she needs some cash to ball out & have fun this weekend. You know...*Coke and hookers type of weekend*.
On the surface he seem fine but he's fu*ked up mentally due to his narratives about money & happiness.
There's still not enough money to pay for his bullsh*t. And the truth is there will never be enough. Even with all he has he still can't see what's right before his eyes, instead chasing narratives that hopefully that bottle of Henny will make him more happy than playing with his kids or having a good sleep routine.
#### Conclusion
Every narratives ranging from life, experience and finance out there don't always work best the way we might've imagined. More money or a pink limo might make Mr X happy but you won't feel a thing when you finally earn more and drive a [Lambo](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-lambo) just as you're not less happy with the current paycheck and the unpopular four wheel you're driving now, it's all a narrative flying round to heighten your buying habit no less. Don't inhibit narratives that revolve around more money more happiness. Instead build your own healthy narrative around - I want to be a good and healthy person, even without millions in my account I can make the most out of the little one I have and live like it's the best experience that's ever happened to us.
