Cuando nos formamos en la vida, bien sea académicamente o de otra forma, para ejercer una profesión u oficio, muchos tomamos el rumbo de trabajar de forma fija en una empresa durante muchos años o, en otros casos, ejerciendo de forma independiente. Siendo el caso del trabajo en una empresa, muchas (públicas o privadas) nos brindan el beneficio llamado Jubilación.

#

O sea, después de trabajar muchos años, al retirarnos ya bien sea por edad correspondiente o adelantando el beneficio ( aplica en algunas empresas), se nos sigue pagando una pensión y algunos beneficios inherentes al trabajo que ejercimos durante años, durante el resto de nuestra vida.

#

Durante este tiempo laboral, compartimos la mayor parte de nuestros años útiles y de juventud, bien sea entre sacrificio de horarios y horas familiares, todo ello en busca del sustento para nosotros y nuestros seres queridos.

#

También es cierto que durante esos años, adquirimos mucha formación desde todo punto de vista, bien sea en lo laboral, la amistad, los tropiezos y las situaciones de vida. El lugar de trabajo es el sitio donde pasamos la mayoría de nuestros años útiles de vida, ya que llegamos a convivir más con los compañeros de trabajo, que con la misma familia.

#

Cuando llega el momento de terminar la relación laboral, surgen muchas dudas, en algunos casos incertidumbre, de lo que viene después. Es algo normal y todo el mundo en ese tiempo, lo ha experimentado. Quien diga que no, seguramente miente.

Se supone que los años de retiro son el salto a una vida de descanso, de disfrute, de relajacion y tranquilidad, pues para eso trabajamos toda nuestra juventud y parte de la madurez.

#

En Venezuela (mi país), este deber ser no se cumple pues, muchas veces (la mayoría), el monto de las pensiones de jubilación, sobre todo en el sector público, son para morirse de la risa y de tristeza pues, el poder adquisitivo de las mismas en contraparte con el costo de la vida en el país, es absolutamente insuficiente para cubrir las necesidades básicas de quien se jubila.

#

Es por ello que luego de una vida de trabajo. En vez de retirarse al descanso, quienes se jubilan deben seguir trabajando en otras actividades, para poder mantener la vida en sus años de madurez avanzada. Y es entonces cuando la jubilación se torna en un pensamiento angustioso y preocupante, en vez de algo placentero y de paz, como realmente debe ser.

#

Es por esto que, en Venezuela, jubilación para muchas personas es sinónimo de declive y en muchos casos de desmejoramiento y sufrimiento.

#

Y es por esta causa que debemos siempre pensar, desde que somos trabajadores activos en la juventud, emprender en otro tipo de actividad alterna al puesto laboral que estás ejerciendo, para que de esta forma, al llegar la madurez, se pueda disfrutar con tranquilidad de esos años conocidos como Años Dorados.

>*The retirement years are supposed to be the leap to a life of rest, enjoyment, relaxation, and tranquility because that is what we work for all our youth and part of our maturity.*

>*In Venezuela (my country), this duty is not fulfilled because, many times (the majority), the number of retirement pensions, especially in the public sector, is to die of laughter and sadness because the purchasing power of the same in contrast to the cost of living in the country, is insufficient to cover the basic needs of those who retire.*

#

>*That is why after a lifetime of work, instead of retiring to rest. Instead of retiring to rest, those who retire must continue working in other activities, to be able to maintain life in their advanced years of maturity. And that is when retirement becomes an anxious and worrying thought, instead of something pleasant and peaceful, as it really should be.*

#

>*This is why, in Venezuela, retirement for many people is synonymous with decline and in many cases of deterioration and suffering.*

#

>*And it is for this reason that we should always think, since we are active workers in our youth, to engage in another type of alternative activity to the job you are exercising so that in this way when maturity arrives, you can enjoy with peace of mind those years known as Golden Years.*

El año pasado (2021), me tocó jubilarme de mi trabajo después de 30 años de servicio ininterrumpido. Llegué a ese trabajo cuando solo tenía 25, a ejercer un emprendimiento importante como lo fue fundar un servicio de laboratorio clínico en una empresa del estado.


#

Fue una gran responsabilidad que ejercí con mucho amor y dedicación. Disfruté cada año de mi vida laboral y le imprimí a cada acción el calor necesario desde el corazón para que todo fluyera y se desarrollara de la mejor manera (como así fue).


#

Puedo decir con satisfacción y alegría, que fui feliz ejerciendo mi labor durante esos 30 años maravillosos que me dieron formación profesional y como ser humano. Así como también me ayudaron a obtener muchas cosas materiales que me impulsaron a mejorar siempre. Por ello mi agradecimiento eterno a esta actividad que fue y es una parte esencial de mi vida, por todas las cosas que me regaló en esos años.


#

Otra parte positiva y hermosa, son las amistades sinceras y excelentes con las que compartí durante tantos años. Alegrías, tristezas, decepciones, sinsabores, felicidad. Todas esas emociones formaron parte de ese camino que hoy se cerró con alegría para dar paso a uno nuevo que es del retiro allá y de un nuevo comienzo acá.

#

Cuando se asume esta condición, es muy necesario soltar lo anterior y cerrar el ciclo. Si no lo hacemos, jamás llegaremos a abrir la nueva puerta y disfrutar de la nueva etapa que ahora se nos presenta.

#

They also helped me to obtain many material things that pushed me to always improve. That is why my eternal gratitude to this activity that was and is an essential part of my life, for all the things it gave me during those years.*

>*Another positive and beautiful part is the sincere and excellent friendships with whom I shared so many years. Joys, sorrows, disappointments, heartaches, happiness. All those emotions were part of that road that today closed with joy to give way to a new one that is retirement there and a new beginning here.*

>*When this condition is assumed, it is very necessary to let go of what came before and close the cycle. If we do not do so, we will never get to open the new door and enjoy the new stage that is now presented to us.*

Muchos conocidos, cuando les conté que me iba a jubilar, me alertaron de que no me fuera a encerrar en mi casa, que no me fuera a deprimir. Y fue cuando les dije que, en mi casa soy realmente feliz y que todo depende de lo que quieras hacer o continuar y de con que actitud quieras asumir las cosas.

#

Jubilarse, un nuevo comienzo, un nuevo despertar, una luz a la libertad. Hoy, tengo todo el tiempo del mundo para dedicarme a algo que realmente me apasiona y es el escribir sin limitaciones de tiempo. Una realidad grandiosa que ahora me permite más tiempo para mí.

#

Decidí no ejercer más mi profesión pues considero que treinta años fueron suficiente tiempo. Ahora quiero dedicarme a algo menos forzado y que, por sobre todas las cosas, me haga feliz. Hive es ese algo maravilloso y adecuado, que llegó a mi vida en el mejor de los momentos.

#

Entre las ventajas de la jubilación está eso que es lo primero, tener más tiempo para ti y las actividades que te guste hacer. Disfrutar de más momentos junto a tus seres queridos sin estar esclavizado por el horario.

#

Dedicar más tiempo para tu salud, implementando actividades de ejercicio físico con plenitud y sin estar pendiente del tiempo, pues ahora eres dueño de tu tiempo.

#

Creo que para mí, lo principal es la libertad de acción y elección. El poder decidir que quiero hacer, como hacerlo y, principalmente, en que momento. Para mí, la jubilación ha Sido una bendición. Una decisión que tome a tiempo en el mejor de los momentos de mi vida.

#

Fueron años hermosos y más hermosos aún los que han de venir. De nosotros depende que sea el mejor o el peor tiempo de nuestras vidas. Yo, elegí lo primero. ¿Y tú, cuando te toque, que harás? ¿Cómo lo asumirás?

#

Dale vida a los años. Siéntete útil, haz lo que te guste pero, por sobre todas las cosas, que sea siendo feliz, es la única condición para seguir y prolongar la vida.
