A small but big part of me
still holds out hope
that this place,
[the world]
will one day be
happily habitable.
I believe in love
even though they say
that sometimes it hurts
to love someone.
I believe in truth
even though lies
expands prevalent
every day a little more.
I believe in freedom
even if I don't know what it is
because I have never had
the full privilege of enjoying it.
Despite all the bad things
I still believe that life
can be beautiful if from where
find its beauty.
