How Could You?

How can you believe being derisive will result in anything positive? They look up to you and you talk like you hate them.
How can you think that the fear in their eyes will ever result in respect? When I saw her scooting away from you with that look in her eyes, it broke something in me.
How can you speak hatred towards us and expect us to be happy? You used to be so gentle and loving.
How can you expect everyone around you to be perfect when you act so awfully to us? They learn from what they witness.
Why would you agree to freedom and then hold it against them? School is worse than prison, we agreed on this. 
You cannot force our respect. Force will only bring fear and resentment. You made me have flashbacks and now I have to go to work.
You wonder why we pull away? 
You'll wonder when we go away?
Or will you even notice?
It's a good thing we don't have money.
