There are several instances whereby in agricultural mindset it always pay to go along with your mind in as much as you have the big heart to act. This is all about being able to realize your dreams as a farmer at an early stage. Sometimes ago when I was building up my farm settlement gradually. I came in contact with this particular tree but as at that time it was extremely small and to me it was just a mere Weed. To individual person with his different from what you think of. What might be weed to Farmer A may not be weed to farmer B. So when I was uprooting the unplanted crop which I referred to as weed. I saw the plant growing up naturally and basically I know that I never planted guava tree for a very long time.
After several deliberation about what to do about the plant because anything fruits it's always come with a very big branches and it need a lot of space for good production. I had to quickly made up my choice to leave the plant and also observe it for a very short period of time. After a while I started introducing more of organic fertilizer gradually day in day out. To my surprise it started fruiting at early stage. What it showed when it was extremely 4 months to 5 month old was so impressive. I had to call on some farmer friends to come take a look at this beautiful and impressive plant. We deliberated a lot about it we came to a completion see how it will build up it flowering stages and fruting stages.
The main purpose of enlighten us how beautiful agriculture is is to embrace the fact that there are some occurrence that happen naturally even when you do not plant your seed some seed will definitely grow up and sprout out as a means of dispersal of seed by wind or by animals. After some month the guava tree started showing up massive production such that they are more people who came to see the type of fruit it came up with. The nature will always speak for itself. Immediately we climb up to the rainy season it has been a very wonderful experience again and this time around it came with multiple flowering stages in hundreds as Shown in the pictures.
* Just like every other tree crop it comes with regular pruning and constant Farm management. If the thinking you have already is that it is a tree crop so it does not need a lot of attention other than you to leave it alone and it will start growing up producing fruits. I will say that it's a big lie. You need to dedicate your time to see that even if a tree crop it also needs to be guided efficiently.
There is one thing I learned about this particular tree crop and it is called the ability to withstand drought. Sometimes ago when we were in the dry season I made a quick travel to another state entirely for weeks and to my surprise the guava tree remain unchanged, despite the Long distance without rainfall.
During the dry season I also did some procedures which I will also share in this article which is called Mulching. When it was dropping off the dried leaves are used a lot of dried leaves to support the main plant so that the excessive heat will not penetrate directly into the root of the Guava tree plant.
I have already recorded a lot of flowering stages at this early stage of the rainfall season and this is to say that this rain season will be more productive than the last rainy season. And when it's starts to grow up it can produce fruit twice in a year if there is a lot of good nutrients support.
The first impression I saw was that all the formal leaves went off and within 7 days there was renewal of leaves which came out to be massive. There is a lot to talk about in agricultural mindset. Every step in agriculture is a learning process.
