Hello Hivers 💕💘,

In agricultural mindset there is always criteria for crop production and animal production. To which you will know how to harvest and went to harvest your produce when the time comes. There is always time for planting there is time for weeding likewise that is always time for fertilizer application likewise there is always time for harvesting and storage if it necessary. When you plan to your maize it is ideal to first of all observe and also ask questions **_like how many months will it take your crop to reach it maturity stage and also to produce?_**. when you have an answer to this then you can also further to process your agricultural Farmland or whichever way you want to plant your crop. Now that there is what is called harvesting time. Personally and practically speaking this depend on the type of crop you are cultivating likewise it depends on the state or country because of the changes in weather condition. The weather we have here in Nigeria is very far different from the ones with they have all over the world.
Cultivating maize most especially because it is a very common type of crop you ever see in farms here in West Africa Nigeria. so it has much more way to identify if your crop has reach it maturity state fully. and in this article I'm going to expose this secret to us one after the other two double check on even your own crop or your neighbor's Farm if it almost ready for harvesting. Most of us do not know deeply sometimes to check when you are cultivating some crops.
* Just like in the case of maize, the maize silk should be the first target whenever you are on the farm to double check if it is dry or wet. When it is dry it means that your Maize Farm is done harvesting. you need to quickly harvest them so that you will have a lot of space for other crops that are still crawling or still growing up.

Immediately you are closer to the Maize plant what you see next and observe is the nature of the plant itself. Why I said this is because to some reasonable extent you must see that it's already in it full maturity stage before harvesting can commence. When it shows all this properties it means that it has reach it finally stage.

* The children are also very excited to witness the maize showcase. That is why I always try my best to take along the kids anytime I am visiting the farm so that one way or the other day we also learn from the farm and what it takes to be a farmer gradually. It is never a rush course. It is slow and steady.

The kids are already eager for harvesting but I made it a few announcement to make it in few days time. the reason being that when I also moved around with the kids I noticed that there are some not dried I mean the maize silks. It is necessary to double check if it is well dried or not. Before harvesting begins.

When you see that the Green back cover of the maze itself is becoming brownish in color then you must note that it is time for harvesting. But some of the Maize specie are hybrid so you need to test them yourself to be assured.

* This is more of a very fast update about Maize farming. Beef you meet someone that is already a mix farmer and ask him or her how do you detect if a mess is fully matured then you will currently know what method to use. We have different method of identifying the maturity stage.

Immediately you conclude to harvest your crop it must be done within few days because in as much as you open up the miss to the flying bird or rodents you are at a very high risk of reduction in production.
