Reading is an activity that has many benefits, reading activities can give us broad insight. For writers, the reading process can be one of the right ways to find new vocabulary, ideas. If we have free time, of course we can read casually. But if we read in the car, on a trip using a vehicle or in a tight time, of course we must have a special technique so that the results of our reading can be digested properly by the brain, and of course can provide good benefits for the reader. Effective reading techniques can make readers recognize the main topic of what they are reading, also can find ideas from reading results even though the process is carried out in a critical time.

 In addition, reading techniques can be used based on the purpose, For example, the reader only wants to find certain data from what he reads, or for other purposes, so the reader can save time by using an effective reading method.

* **Skimming Reading Techniques**

This technique is usually used to get the gist or general idea of the whole reading/text. In its application, the skimming reading technique is only used to read the prefix of BAB, so that they can understand the overall contents of the chapter. The second effective reading technique is the scanning reading technique, this technique aims to make it easier for readers to get specific data from what they read. We can also name this technique with a careful and precise reading technique.

In the process, this technique uses the jumping method, meaning that readers are not required to read the contents of the text as a whole, but only read key sentences or paragraphs that are considered important and essential.

In addition to the two effective reading techniques that I have reviewed above, there are also other techniques including: Selecting Reading techniques, SQ3R Reading techniques and other techniques that of course I can make it easier for readers to understand every detail of their reading.
