This is why the Germans have applied, for the first time in the world, hydrogen technology in regular passenger rail transport, offering a good alternative to diesel-powered trains.

The Alstom company has built two hydrogen-powered train units that it has been testing for the past 18 months, according to the company with an optimal result, which will allow this technology to be extended to other trains.

According to Alstom, during these 18 months the trains have traveled 180,000 km, have a range of 1,000 km and can carry up to 300 passengers at a maximum speed of 140 km / h.
