On April 10, 1912, the ocean liner RMS Titanic set sail from the port of Southampton, a British ship called “unsinkable” that intended to break all records, it was the second ship of a trio of large ocean liners designed with all luxury and comfort, it had gym, indoor pool, restaurants and luxurious cabins.

>El 10 de abril de 1912, el transatlántico RMS Titanic zarpó del puerto de Southampton, un barco británico llamado “insumergible” que pretendía batir todos los récords, era el segundo buque de un trío de grandes transatlánticos diseñados con todo lujo y comodidad, contaba con gimnasio, piscina cubierta, restaurantes y lujosos camarotes. 

The Titanic was equipped with some advanced safety measures that were very advanced for the time, such as the bulkheads of its hull and watertight hatches that were not very useful. During the fourth night of sailing the ship collided with an iceberg and sank, taking with it the lives of more than 1,500 people in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.

During the celebration of the centenary of the tragic sinking, Clive Palmer, an Australian businessman who owns the Blue Star Line cruise company, announced that he intended to build the "Titanic II", after several postponements for various reasons, including the coronavirus pandemic, it seems that this year he returns to his old ways.

>Durante la celebración del centenario del trágico hundimiento Clive Palmer, un empresario australiano propietario de la compañía de cruceros Blue Star Line anunció que pretendía construir el "Titanic II", tras varios aplazamientos por causas diversas, entre ellas la pandemia de coronavirus, parece que este año vuelve a las andadas.

According to Clive Palmer, during the year 2024, tenders will be published and contracts will be signed to begin construction at the beginning of 2025, although there is still no confirmed shipyard, if everything goes as expected, the Titanic II could make its maiden voyage by the year 2027 with performance far superior to the original according to its creators.

>Según Clive Palmer durante el año 2024 se publicarán las licitaciones y se firmarán los contratos para empezar la construcción a inicios de 2025, aunque no hay todavía un astillero confirmado si todo sale según lo esperado el Titanic II, podría hacer su viaje inaugural para el año 2027 con prestaciones muy superiores al original según sus creadores.

The new Titanic will measure 269 meters in length and 32 meters in width, with some 56,000 tons of displacement and the capacity to accommodate 2,345 passengers in 835 cabins spread over nine decks. Of course, it will also have luxury dining rooms, a swimming pool, Turkish baths, a casino, a lounge dancing and all kinds of luxuries and entertainment on board for the lucky ones.

>El nuevo Titanic medirá 269 metros de eslora y 32 de manga, con unas 56.000 toneladas de desplazamiento y capacidad para albergar a 2.345 pasajeros en 835 camarotes repartidos en nueve cubiertas,  por supuesto también tendrá comedores de lujo, piscina, baños turcos, casino, salón de baile y todo tipo lujos y de entretenimiento a bordo para los afortunados.

The construction of this ship is estimated to cost approximately between 500 and 1 billion dollars, but it seems that this Clive Palmer has the money as punishment. They haven't said anything about the price of the tickets but I'm afraid I won't have time to save enough to embark on the maiden voyage, we'll leave it until my golden wedding.

>La construcción de este buqué se calcula que tendrá un coste aproximado de entre 500 y 1000 millones de dólares, pero parece ser que el tal Clive Palmer tiene el dinero por castigo. No han comentado nada del precio de los pasajes pero me temo que no me dará tiempo a ahorrar lo suficiente para embarcarme en el viaje inaugural, lo dejaremos para mis bodas de oro.
