In the race to reduce the size of electronic devices, technicians are already having problems developing microprocessors and circuits below a minimum size past which the results become unpredictable due to the effects of quantum mechanics.

Now all this can change thanks to the research carried out by a group of scientists from several universities who have managed to develop a device capable of measuring the electrical current that flows through a DNA molecule in a reproducible way.

If so, this would open a whole range of possibilities for the construction of DNA-based microprocessors or molecular biosensors capable of detecting cancer or devices that are sensitive to certain types of virus and capable of killing them.

La verdad es sorprendente este nivel de nanoelectronica, de por si ya era sabido que el ADN es capaz de almacenar mucha información, literalmente es la base de datos de todo lo que nos compone en esencia como individuo.
