If you talk to me a bit, you'll know I'm a big fan of productivity and effectiveness. Sure, I know there has to be balance in life, and that we all have our own pace, but truth be told, there are a few areas in our lives that we can really improve on. 

One of life's biggest area, a tool that we will be spending a lot of our work time in, is the computer. And if we can speed up our interface time with these powerful gadgets, we can easily 10x our productivity. 

Here are three simple things.  

#### \#1. Use Keyboard Shortcuts (and Gestures)  

This makes me cringe everything I see it because a split second gesture can easily replace the right-click-move-mouse-to-select-the-right-command-and-click. And yes, I see some people not even using the simple ones like CTRL+C and CYRL+V.  Seriously, if there are anything worth memorising, are keyboard shortcuts and gestures (four finger swipes etc) if your laptop supports it.

#### \#2. Play Typer Shark  

You'll be spending your time typing a lot (although there's voice typing but let's just say it's still far from being efficient), it makes sense to increase your typing speed. And what better way to do that than by playing a simple, free game! **[Typershark](https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/109345344/)** is a classic where you prevent a diver from being eaten by sharks, by typing out the words that appear on each shark.  

#### \#3. Focus Mode 

Turning this mode on - which switches off the WiFi and mute notifications for a period of time - will keep you on track and focused on the task at hand. Distractions are all around us, and the last thing we need is them popping up all over our work.
