About two weeks ago a YouTube video showing the demo play of Soulkeep was shared by spsdao with CEO of double coconut playing the demo. Link here:

As a refresher it was nice to see a different type of game rather than simple card battles. In Soulkeep we get towers to fend of fiends and a hero if lucky enough we can utilize to supplement the towers.

Upon first impression it is simple in graphics but certainly has its complexity as there are multiple locations to place towers and multiple combinations of towers cards to select from.

The rules seem to be straight forward and gameplay easy to apply. It almost looks to be a chess game with the respect that each map has a different board and random pieces at play.

The demand for packs seems to be rising as trading is now slightly more than 7 Hives per a pack. On the other hand Hive list of value maybe a big cause in the price spike.

I have saved up potions that can potentially be used here to build a competitive deck in Soulkeep. My main reason of hesitating to play the game will likely come down to how much time I can allote to the game. If I play both Splinterlands and Soulkeep I maybe asking for too much.

So I am on the fence as to starting a new game if in fact the learning curve is too steep or the game matches just takes too long to play. With a new season in Splinterlands and update in rewards it does feel like a little jolt of motivation to continue playing. 

On top of all that managing land plots and playing brawls all takes time in between the battle matches. All in all a lot of new excitement is coming for the Splinterland’s franchise. I look forward when official launch of Soulkeep is happening which has been long awaited. Now close to the official rollout I have less than month to decide what my next steps are. What about you?
